OT: Tyreek Hill to Miami

Just shows there are good WRs deep in the draft if you're willing to pick up scumbags i.e. Hill was a 5th rounder from West Alabama. As we all know there was a good reason he was a 5th round pick from West Alabama

The thing I don't get is that there are more and more high impact WRs coming out of the draft every year now. I don't get how I would send five high to mid picks and pay $30 million a year for any WR. Sure Hill is a better bet than the draft, but I would take 70-80% of Hill and draft at least 2-3 more impact players with the Pats or sign with the cap money saved.

And let's face it. Even with the Dolphins' additions, they could take a step back with the loss of Flores. I don't think the Dolphins would have swept the Pats last year with McDaniel as head coach. Might not have won either game.

Interesting. Mahomes is f*cked unless the Chiefs hit big on a WR they draft. Jameson Williams seems like he'll be really good, but top-rated WRs out of college seem like total toss-ups every year.

That contract is going to ruin the Dolphins!......

Meanwhile, I'm gonna go cry now.

Oh, just realized Miami's 1st rounder is 29th overall. Chiefs will need to trade up to draft Jameson Williams.

And all were easily replaced (just go look at Culver City, with Yahoo, Google, Sony, as an example - or the Riot compound in South LA). Good for you with your choices. I have no problem paying my share. At some point, it's just all-but-meaningless numbers in a bank. For athletes at the top, it's just about ego.

If you make 8 figures a year, you can get pretty anything you want any time you want - heck, if you make 7-figures a year and complain, that's pretty pathetic, from where I'm sitting.

I'm surrounded by very wealthy people out here in SoCal. If a few % of taxes is the cost, I'll take South Bay over anything FL can offer any day of any week. As will lots of other people, clearly.

There's nothing "dying" about CA, except for the drought.

And our property taxes are grandfathered in..... I pay about 5K in property taxes a year on a house currently valued at 1M+...and always will for as long as I live in this house.

Tua is no Mahomes.

Hill is in for a shock if he thinks that he will just pick up where he left off in KC. Mahomes is the king of sandlot football extending plays that break down and throwing on a whim. Thats not Tua at all. I have no faith that Tua can last a complete season.

I actually think it’s a great trade for the Chiefs. This will allow them to be a really good team for a prolonged period of time. They are getting rid of Hill a year to soon rather than a year too late. The draft pick hall is truly impressive
I think its a great trade for KC. With that extra first rounder they can afford to grab jameson a little bit early and wait a year for someone who MIGHT be an upgrade over Hill, or a bigger Hill. At any rate with 4 picks in the first 2 rounds, there will be a lot of quality WR prospects to choose from.

As for Miami, I see a reduction of Hill's production, This isn't to diminish the thought of a Waddle, Gessick, Hill trio. That is a LOT of good talent at front line talent. However a LOT of Hill's biggest plays came because of Mahomes ability to extend plays and Hill's ability and connection with Mahomes to get open when the play broke down. That isn't going to happen with Tua. Tua doesn't have Mahomes arm nor his ability to escape the pocket.

Hill might be a horrible human being, but He's a great receiver who is getting paid $30MM/year (though I'm sure that won't be his cap number in 2022). Miami just got better, no question. But by how much?

Tua is definitely not mahomes, but Hill just gets wide open. Tua will still have success with Waddle and Hill.

With our secondary, as it stands, that receiver corps is pretty scary.

Pats will definitely be 3rd in the division.

Miami beat us 3 times in a row.

Now, they have a scheme and personnel that actually fits Tua's skillset. And they bolstered their line.

Coming off 2 straight winning seasons.

Just went to chiefs planet... the site is back up, but is really unstable... it put firefox into a website not responding mode... they must be on meltdown status over there...

Tua indeed sucks, but Hill will make him look good. He'll be wide open deep, or get major yards after catch.
