Last year’s cap: $198.2 million. This year’s cap: $182.5 million.

It has always increased. Where have you been?

The Bills are going to get jammed in 2026. It's a near certainty.

Without getting straight answers from the team, we can only guess. So I'll just toss out my first impression, which is that there are a couple of potential reasons for it (i.e. Kraft's cut off the real money spigot for this season, BB has faith in the CFL OL and still believes in Agholor, etc...), but that this has been S.O.P. for this team for much of BB's tenure, so it may be as simple as that.

We should have a better read on things after the FA guys have all been picked over, and most of the releases have happened.

You have to wonder how these things go down sometimes though. Did they shop him around or did TB call and they just agreed on a 5th? We know the story about the Jimmy trade and you can't help but wonder if maybe you could leverage the interest in this player and make a few more calls to try and get more. Maybe that is already what happens though and there was no interest.

This trade is the result of Patriots cap mismanagement. We willingly gave up one of the best guards in pro football for a freaking 5th round pick. OOF. Hate this move. I understand it from a salary cap point of view but it's a step backwards.

Now Mac Jones will have one less guy to count on to protect him from pass rushers. And this is on the back of Von Miller moving to the Bills. This could get ugly. Feels like the Patriots are moving backwards in terms of their talent. Losing Shaq Mason and JC Jackson in the same offseason. No significant additions yet to counterbalance the losses.
