Tom Brady has thrown 34 touchdowns this season, already the second-most ever for a Bucs quarterback, behind Brady's 40 thrown last year. He's also at 3,771 passing yards -- if he throws for 320 vs. Bills, he'll have the 3rd-highest total there (Winston in 2019, Brady in 2020).

Bucs will have a tough decision this offseason on Jason Pierre-Paul. Their only Pro Bowl player last year, he's played through a torn rotator cuff, broken finger. With limited cap space available, they'll have to decide if they try to bring him back for 2022. Turns 33 next month.

Bucs still rave about JPP's leadership and energy on the field. While limited by injury, he's on pace for his fewest sack total since 2015, when he was coming off the fireworks accident and played only eight games.

It would seem Bucs have already planned for a future without Pierre-Paul in drafting Joe Tryon-Shoyinka. Of their many free agents for next spring, JPP is one where an obvious successor is already in place and ready for a larger role. Big shoes to fill, just the same.

I suspect he might be injured. Despite what people claim, idiotically, no one has the arm strength to consistently make accurate downfield passes without excellent footwork and lower body leverage. He has simply been terrible at anything beyond underneath passes for about two months. The velocity appears to be there, but it seems he overcompensates by throwing too hard, causing a lot of misfires.

If you look at his play from previous years, his footwork is so quick. I do wonder if there are problems caused by that foot issue.

If it isn’t injury, and he’s fine physically, then he’s simply not an elite QB when defenses take away the first read (Reid is so good at freeing someone up) and then goad him into leaving the pocket and freelancing, where defenses have figured out it’s better to let him drift on his own and not overpursue.

Tom Brady was pressured 4 times on Sunday. The Bucs OL was incredible, per usual.
Brady also took 2.18 seconds to throw while shredding the Falcons for 368 yards and 4 TDs. No QB was faster in Week 13. Only 1 QB has thrown faster this season as a whole.
It all works together.

Bruce Arians says Jamel Dean is in concussion protocol, but could be back for Sunday's game. Gholston has a patellar tendon issue in his knee, but not sure how severely. Arians says they might not lose anyone for Bills game.

I know many commentators want to blame his offensive weapons but his throws, some of them are just so bad. He has little confidence and often isn't seeing the field. I do wonder if maybe there is an issue between him and Reid? I mean how upset do you think Mahomes was with that SB game plan and the off-field stuff with Reid's son? It was his best chance to try and beat Brady and lay claim to being the best young QB in the game with a chance to fortify his young legacy. Instead he got thumped with a horrific game plan that was never adjusted. I had said in the off-season that a game like that can leave a deep mark psychologically and I think it has for Mahomes in more ways than one.
