Anyone else stoked for the matchup against Brady and the Bucs?

No. Any other quarterback (who was available to them, of course) and they likely wouldn’t have been in the playoffs at all. They were a 7-9 squad before Brady arrived.
Not only that but people are conveniently ignoring going to a new team, system, coaches, playbook, players, etc. As if this is done all the time "successfully."

No one, that I'm aware of, had gone to a new team after so many years in one system and gone on to win it all the very 1st year. It was remarkable really. To say any other QB would've done the same is lazy and dishonest. Roger Staubach should know how hard it is to win and he was impressed with what Brady did.

Nobody gave the Bucs a chance at beginning or even during the season. They were dogs against NO, GB, and KC.

Of course, now anyone could've done it. Lmao

This is literally the first post I have seen you post....Obviously I was talking to the guy that has ruined about 3 or 4 threads on this board with his Jet fan like attacks on our former QB.

oh ok

I’ve been posting here for 13 years

What about Lloyd Carr then?
Brady was 20-5 in college and won two bowl games including one over Alabama in a come back effort where he was the best player on the field. This notion that Brady was some ****ty QB and Bill made him into the goat is probably the most silly thing that has ever been said.

You know, it’s funny because everyone think Arians is a clown but without Tom Brady Arians has still a winning record as a HC which is not the case of Bill who has a worse record than Rex Ryan.
Umm, Rex Ryan picked Mark Sanchez and has a tattoo of that guy on his arm. Mark Sanchez wouldn't have even been on NE's draft board.

BB's record with the QB of his choosing, is better than Rex Ryan's by a long shot. I am not sure what Rexie's record ended up in Buffalo, but I know it wasn't good.

Entering last year, when BB selected QBs in NE, he was 14-6 without Brady. Now, he's 23-15 and most of those losses (9) came during a pandemic.

Try again.

BB has a great track record with QBs he works with. End of story.

That's a good debate, would Arians be the best ever if he had TB for 20 years, what if TB went to the Jetes or if had any other coach?
It really depends on the organizational structure more than the coach. There are a few of them out there where Brady could have had a similar championship output as long as he was taking below market deals, like he did here. Pittsburgh comes to mind. Baltimore, Green Bay, KC, Denver, Giants. If you’re even a halfway decent coach with a solid organizational structure, having the GOAT QB playing at the GOAT level for two decades while taking less money every time his contract comes up while being under a hard cap is like bringing a machine gun to a knife fight. That’s an advantage that no other team in the league enjoys.

No one said Brady was crappy. You're simply lying again.

Not one person had the bucs doing **** until Brady went there and even then, they were dogs in almost every playoff game. Its amazing how a team who did not win a playoff game in 18 years was such a super team.

They had the 3rd best Super Bowl odds in pre-season. That's hardly nobody giving them a chance.

This will come to light if and when Mac shows he is the guy in NE - and at the end of his rookie contract is looking for a 50M/yr deal.

Where are you getting this 23-15 record? Pats were 5-11 in 2000. 0-2 in 2001, 10-5 in 2008, 3-1 in 2016 and 1 and 1 this year...All Bill coached teams with pats without Brady. How in the hell are you getting 23-15.

Umm, he went to a loaded team on offense. They were immediate division threats to NOs. Good thing that D got its act together because they won the SB for him.

Goodell's free 14 points helped, too, as he doesn't want dynasties.

yes but he didn’t exactly wow scouts…

Brady didn't pick Bledsoe. He fired him. I am not counting Bledsoe. BB was always going to find the QB of the future that fits his draft

Cassel, 11-5
JimmyG 2,0
Brisset, 1-0

14-6

Newton, 7-9

Mac Jones, 1-1, so it should be 22-16.

Quote me on saying Brady was some crappy QB that Belichick turned into the goat. You seem to be quite thin-skinned and overreactive when it comes to Brady. And the notion here was Brady taking some random crappy coach to the Super Bowl, the college equivalent of the Super Bowl Brady did not win/reach as a starter.

He went to a team that had not won a playoff game in 18 years. He went to a team that had not been to the playoffs since 2010. Nobody even talked about them until Brady arrived there. Also, I do not remember goodell playing in the superbowl.

So you were in a coma in 2000? and the start of 2001? and I guess you dont remember getting shut out by the Bills in 2016? You sure you are a pats fan? Brisset is 1-0 huh? lol.

Yes brady was a projected 2nd-3rd rounder who fell because of his combine picture with his shirt off

Kon's not too bright.
Well not only is he not bright, he appears to be some kind of a high school internet bully. I kinda figured he was a teenager and missed the first part of Brady's career when he was a game manager and BB protected him with a great D and STs to ease him into this league, setting him for success.

It feels like some on this board were born in the last 15-20 years, which is fine. They just don't know what happened, apparently.

As for his comment, it's absolutely disgusting.
