I know it's been said often and some ignore it but I'll say it as well...Jones can't be firing shots downfield when he has little time to throw due to the OLine having issues. Not complicated to understand that really. Also...he is having success at a very high level with short passes right now. Why break that?

No turnovers thus far. No reason to start lobbing bombs because some want to see more vertical passing game. I get wanting to keep the defense honest, but the best thing they can do is keep him In a high percentage passing attack that minimizes turnovers, as a rookie.

Plenty of time down the road to get more aggressive.

Macs been the best QB rookie thus far, prob the best offensive rookie of all positions.

He's only played 2 games and doesn't fully know the playbook. He needs more reps for the game to slow down enough to process everything and make more decisions...such as firing the ball downfield.

I hope they don't play Madonna at practice...(it's a Dee Virgin reference...Gessh)

No mention of Cajuste...that's a good thing. I hope he is practicing with the starters.

Two plays stand out in the Jets game: the flea flicker, where Agholor was apparently wide open in the EZ, and the intentional grounding, where, OMG, Hunter Henry was about as open as you can be down the right sideline to the EZ.

The first was a cautious choice by Jones, so it's on Jones.

On the second, Onwenu needed to hold his block just a bit more, or Jones had to see Henry a split second earlier and just trust what he saw and launch it.

Had those plays turned differently, add about 50 yards and two passing TDs to Jones' season resume, and this talk isn't happening.

The team is a WIP, the OL needs to be repaired, and the QB is a WIP. All fixable.

I saw the Agholor play in replays….wide open. Yeah I think in time he will hit those.

I'm worried that we're going to get week 2 Jameis and still lose to Kamara and our own offense. It could also just go a lot like the Jets game if we're able to key in on Kamara and shut him down. Don't know how this one will go.

No mention of Brown either — I’m hoping *he’s* practicing with the starters, not Cajuste. :)
Yes but I don’t have a lot of hope he will overcome the calf issue this season. He had he same calf issue with the Raiders and missed about 10 games.

edit: not only calf issues with the Raiders but also a busted ankle and air in his bloodstream due to an intravenous mishap.

Can't Bill bring in someone from Harvard Medical School or Mass General to fix Brown's problem?
