2021 / 2022 College Games

I don’t remember submitting any of those posts starting with post 211.

Just watching Gators game now.....pretty close in the end.....had old Saban worried ?

Yup. Some of the talking heads said Florida would be one of those teams who actually moves up in a loss. We’ll see. Grantham needs to work on tackling fundamentals with the defense because we’ve sucked the last 2.5 years when it comes to tackling guys in the open field. It was a huge problem last season and it’s rearing it’s ugly head again this season. Missed extra point ended up being the difference in the game, IMO. I’m not even really mad, though. I expected us to get blown out. A lot of teams would have rolled over and died once Alabama went up 21-3 and they kept fighting until the end.

I think Alabama did not show the usual aura of invincibility against the Gators. Yes , they went into an early lead but as you said Florida dug in and kept playing and held them back. I liked some of the plays from Brenton Cox

Guess you will have to put that poster of Emory back up on your bedroom wall....lol

Richardson is still the more talented QB, and better suited to run Mullen’s offense. But only turning the ball over once yesterday is a big step forward for Emory. Looking forward to the annual Tennessee cheek-clapping next.

A couple of thoughts:

1.) Alabama offensive line is not that talented. They could not blow the Florida defensive line off the ball.
2.) the Alabama defensive line is not deep. They got tired and started getting blown off the ball.

Clemson is going down again this week. Will that eliminate them from the playoff? Probably. But I do think a 2 loss team, or a group of 5 team gets in this year. Or both

Georgia and Texas a&m are teams to watch. They look pretty good.

Jordan Davis is a beast and a monster sized rock in the middle of a defense.

he remains my first round draft pick for the patriots.

Texas A&M hasn’t looked that good at all. Barely survived the first two weeks against what were clearly inferior teams and beat New Mexico. I honestly would not be surprised if Arkansas teabags them this weekend.

Now, Georgia on the other hand? They’ve looked great so far.

After three weeks, the guys expected in this draft that have impressed me most:

1.) stingley cb - lsu, gave up one catch last week for -3 yards. Best corner in this draft.

2.) Neal ot - Alabama. Huge 6’7” and 360 pounds. Monster mauler!

3.) falale ot - Minnesota. Larger human than Trent brown. Listed at 6’9” and 380 pounds. He can single handed my collapse the end of any line of scrimmage.

4.) Davis nt - Georgia. Listed at 6’6” and 360 pounds, the next Vince wilfork, but taller.

5.) booth cb - Clemson. Shutting down everything in site!

My games this week...

Wake Forrest v Virginia - tonight
Texas v Texas Tech
LSU v Mississippi
Notre Dame v Wisconsin
Oklahoma v West Virginia
Texas A & M v Arkansas
Arizona v Oregon

I would guess the best games to watch/record would be Notre Dame and Oklahoma games ?

Man I love Karlaftis. He's got some serious potential and position versatility. Love watching him. Just beat the G and nearly missed sack/TFL. Next play puts his man on skates outside edge.

I really hope Bill continues to build this DL/IDL.
Could/should be a very solid pro...rotational edger floor
Bo Nix is cheeks
I'm higher on him than most, but no longer view him as a Day 1-2 guy

Davis is gonna be a star

Kinda Like NDs chances today. But they ave to protect Coan. He can make the plays but needs the time. ND should have a big speed advantage against the Wisconsin secondary and line backers. I dont see how they can matchupwith williams, mayer, tyree, davis, and lenzy

Notre Dame’s offensive line is getting worked so far. They can’t pick up a stunt to save their lives.

When Coan is given time, he’s throwing some strikes.

I understand that Notre Dame has to keep them honest, but Wisconsin is hard to run on between the tackles. You need to get them going east to west in pursuit.

2 runs there. Brilliant. 12 needs to be given some red zone snaps. NDs line has just been awful all year

Buchner needs to play meaningful snaps. We need another dynamic with this horrible line

For the love of god please play Buchner. It’s not all coans fault. But some of it is

Letting an inferior team hang around

Would be shocked if Nd pulled this out with a 3rd string LT and drew pyne
