Content Post JETS SUCK 2021 EDITION (OFFICIAL): THE INSIDIOUS JETE STANK CONSPIRACY

This has an opening post with good commentary and information, which we definitely recommend reading.
Idiot ownership = no coherent team-building philosophy = lack of continuity in management/coaching/roster = perpetual suckage. Add intangibles including moronic fan base, bad karma and the stank, and voila! -- God's practical joke, the New Jersey Jete.
Its just crazy.

Even if I never see a sb win again, I can always say I witnessed them wins superbowls. I was there when my team did.

The Jete? Some may never even see one. I'll just never understand their pain.

One way to understand the pain of Jete fans is realizing they subconsciously enjoy humiliation. The fact they keep buying tickets and coming back enables the Johnsons' ineptitude, reinforcing their collective psychosis in a perpetual feedback loop of despair. It's all quite sick. Which is why this thread exists as a vital public service, shedding light on the ravages of Jete stank.

I have to give it to Jets fans, they sure are loyal. You really have to be to sit through this junk every year. At some point it has to be not worth your time anymore. It's like an endless cycle of sucking, then finding hope, but that quickly just transitions right into more sucking.

See the post right before yours (#964). It's not genuine loyalty, it's compulsion.

One poster made the point that they could have kept Darnold, gotten solid draft capital to trade down, and STILL gotten a top 5 QB. Then they could actually see if that QB can out-play Darnold or not, instead of taking the huge leap into the void they ended up taking.

That actually is a good point. They pulled the plug on Darnold way too soon, his play in Carolina vindicates his rocky tenure in Stankland. Dumping him to draft McMilfson is the work of Johnson & Johnson: "Who cares about building a team? That's boring. We need a STAR!"

It turns out that old Darnold may be a servicable NFL starting QB.

Redraft conversations are usually just painful exercises for masochists, but if you were to redo the Jets for the last 3 years, keeping Darnold and getting 3-4 good players this year insteady of Fratboy, they'd be a well talented NFL team.

Finding something unexpected like this for Jests fans to be miserable about is like Christmas morning as a kid.

Legitimate question. Why do you think qbs fail so much in Jeteland? I understand we say they suck and they do, but what do they do so much differently than other teams?
If you think about it, they've tried every kind of QB, from "game manager" type like Pennington, "flashy big school QB" like Sanchez and Darnit, "run-first QB" like GeeNo! Smith, "shot in the dark" like Hackenburg, and they've all sucked. The only common thread is the organization itself. @Tunescribe for the win!

We all know if we swap QBs yesterday and Punky throws four INTs for the Pats and Mac does his thing for da Jete, we lose. In this case it absolutely is Jete malpractice. They take a kid from a small school who pretty much every scout says is raw and needs time and they throw him to the dogs. Yep, dogs, for that's what Jete fans and NY media are. Actually if we switch QBs yesterday, Punky sits and watches Cam or Hoyer hand off, there's no way BB starts a QB as bad as Punky.

One thing Mike Lombardi says a lot is that one of the most important skills for executives is to be able to evaluate your own team correctly. Da Jete are clearly failing at that right now. They got a first time coach and first time OC and a 2nd year GM. Somehow they think a baptism of fire is the way to go with this guy, instead it looks like they're ruining him permanently, like so many Jete QBs before him.

This is priceless. Bim Saleh Bim uses terminology doublespeak to make it appear he knows what's going on, but at one point he just babbles. Translation: "The kid's fundamentals suck and he had no clue what he was trying to do out there."

No mention of ghost sightings, juice boxes or Hot Mommy.

QBs suck in Jeteland because Joe Willy Namath guaranteed a Super Bowl win, and then won. He sold his soul to Satan. All pain and suffering experienced by everyone associated with the Jets flows from that oozing river of arrogance.

Lombardi picked up on the doublespeak:

Looks like the Jete hired a committee guy rather than a head coach, all he's doing is going with what the coordinators tell him to do.
