Bruins Playoff Discussion Thread

You are acting like a 12 year old with all your silly, ignorant insults for Tuukka. I don't know why you do it, do you feel entitled so much that if every player and GM/coach isn't perfect to your satisfaction you have to cry like a child and make fun of them? You come across very immature, which is a shame because you seem to really pay attention to hockey and could offer some good takes if you cut down on the silly insults. Although that being said, I have absolutely no idea what convinces you that Price has a better chance at winning the Cup than Tuukka. Price has never even gotten his team to the finals. Maybe you are a closet Canadiens fan? Hmm?

Whatever you say, Mrs Rask.

Your boy Price really wasn't playing like a Stanley Cup goalie tonight, now was he?
Price made some nice saves but his team was outclassed. Won’t be a long series.

Same can be said for Rask. Price let in two soft goals last night. On one he was totally guessing and got caught way out of position and pretty much gave up an empty net goal. He has always been overrated.

I'd keep Rask for 1 more year if they can. It's almost Swayman's time I think but another year won't hurt.

Agreed about Price but I didn't like facing him and nothing else about that team scares anyone.

Another year another choke job

And will be until Jacobs sells the team. He just a businessman whose only concern is that the bottom line isn't in red. For him, everything else can go **** itself.

Agree but the big problem is Rask won't be ready until February.

It behooves them to look at other vet FAs who can hold up for ~40 games.

Jacobs gets his fair share of **** bit nearly as much as he should in context, compared to the other NE/Boston owners.

Kraft brings a lot on himself but he's dragged for it. As he should be in some cases.

Wyc had Danny as a shield but at least he's made or allowed Danny to make a few moves. Not nearly enough but the C's have been closer more.

Sox Inc gets killed, constantly lol.

Again Jacobs gets his fair share but not enough. Boston was a hockey town. It's a shame what he's done and allowed to let happen.

When was Boston ever a hockey town?

I mean you could make a serious case for the C's, obviously. Maybe exaggerated a little bit but the B's ruled the city for a long time. In terms of first love and all that. Absolutely.

I mean the Celtics at the time were the most dominate team in the history of the sport. But also Boston at the time was uh, different as we all know.

Unless Puuka is willing to take a pro-rated one-year contract identical to Halak's ($2.25M), then he can **** OFF...

But if he's not going to be available until February anyway, then why even both with him at all?

Bite the bullet and start the kids in net, and use the money saved to re-sign Hall/Krejci or some other Forward.

Agreed.

THAT'S how you play an elimination game.
When you watch the video. The bruins did to the Canucks. What Tampa, St Louis and the islanders did to the bruins the last three years. Wear us down by playing aggressively physical. it jumps out at you when you watch it. That and how fast and good chara still was.

Was it Jacobs who drafted Little Z, DeBust, Senyshyn, Forsbacka-Karlsson, Louse-on, Frederic, et.al.?

Jacobs' fault since the salary cap was thankfully implemented has been his inability or unwillingness to find the best possible people to oversee the GM & amateur scouting positions and instead to rely on Harry Sinden & other former Bruins, including the current regime...His only outside choice, Peter Chiarelli, still had Bruins connections through his playing days at Harvard with Don Sweeney; and I believe that Charlie Jacobs attended Harvard during those years too...
