Julio Jones (June 6 Update - Traded to the Titans)

Their allergy is stoked by Rodgers now being on a contract that averages $33.5M per year and him wanting more.

Hard for them to build the overall talent level with so much $$$ going to one guy.
This contract does not prevent the Packers from drafting better which they have not done very well in quite some time.

They also very rarely sign any worthy free agents anyways.

We can speculate on scenarios that would’ve led the Pats not to make this deal, but going on what we actually know this is a big miss.
Eh, he’s got the Calvin Johnson/Anthony Davis syndrome were there is always some ailment.

we all know Coach Bill wants JAG receivers unless they come cheaply

You got me. I’m getting too used to the entitled weirdos who’ve never been Expos fans - and it shows…
Bring the Expos back.

So BB trades a 2nd for Sanu but not Julio....makes perfect sense
BB reached for Sanu because AB screwed them over with his sociopathic behavior and Tom was complaining about not having vet weapons... they were “going all in” and trying to placate their star QB.

This Julio decision was less about trade compensation and more about money. The guaranteed dollars plus the distinct possibility Julio wants an extension.

There’s also the possibility both teams offered the same deal and Julio chose Tannehill over Cam and the unknown of a rookie. If I were a receiver I wouldn’t want to play with Cam and hope the rookie was good, give me the sure thing.

Bring the Expos back.
All i need :
(1) become multi billionaire (2) find youpi (3) try to explain the ball cap (4) get a TV deal. Shouldn’t be hard.

Pats weren’t forced into releasing Brown, it was Bob’s choice. They could’ve kept him until the NFL decided on whether or not to suspended him.

If he stayed on the Pats he’d have been put on the exempt list almost immediately. And that would have been the case if he was on any roster. Him just being a FA made it easier to just not touch the situation for a while.

And the compensation for Julio was nowhere near being too much. It's an embarrassment for every team that could have beaten the deal and didn't.

Edit: It should be noted, just in case someone doesn't understand it as a given, that if Julio refused to go to some team, or teams, that were in the bidding, that would change the equation.
You really aren't this stupid right? Just your schtick?? Julio is old, was injured last year and is on basically a contract that isn't a bargain by any stretch.

Rodgers just threw 48 TDs and 5 INTs. We know from observing Brady all these years how it’s impossible to put up those numbers, even with a great QB, without having tons of talent on offense.

The team is 26-6 over the last two seasons.

It seems Rodgers buck passing is working. Fans think the Packers are failing despite them doing exactly what the Patriots did with Brady: they’re putting him in a situation where he can win a championship if he plays at a championship level in the postseason.

The defense dominated the NFCDG and then picked off Brady three times late in the second half! Three! Home game. Freezing temps. The gift wrapped championship he has always been “denied.”

They rarely sign free agents because they spend a lot to retain homegrown players. It’s similar to the Colts/Steelers. They have always paid a lot for Rodgers to retain his guys. Just because these guys were drafted by them doesn’t make them cheaper.

Mo played us again lol
