I went in 2010 ten inches of snow and Brady iced the game by halftime with one of his mindmeld plays to Branch. That was a fun one

Maybe it has something to do with league funding to help pay for it? Otherwise if its out of Kraft's pocket, the other owners should get bent

It's interesting that Breer lays this out sans details... so we are all supposed to speculate???

The media gets lazier day by day.. Today ESPN reporting Specter's son making hearsay allegations, then the other day the McMahon piece about a situation in the 90's that was reported by FOX 5 years ago.. is news that slow??

My sources inside the Patriots tell me, they’ve built a new “game day scouting department” in Gillette. My source even provided me a photo of their new office space.

As for Solider Field, why would you drive instead of taking the train? Chicago's transport system is excellent. And the best part is you can drink all you want without worrying about driving.

I imagine the issue is that some stadium changes could be unacceptable. So it's just easier to make all changes need approval.

How about closing the open end and making the Razor into a, you know, real home-field advantage?

I went to a game there a few years ago and just walked a mile or so to get an Uber. It felt easier than getting out of Gillette. Cool stadium. I was so high up I had great views of the lake and downtown. I watched Rodgers and GB destroy them on opening day.

Saw an article on this that they are talking about selling if they can't get something done.

I think losing Soldier Field would be a travesty..

OK, now I kind of understand why the Patriots would need NFL approval for a new video board. That thing is MASSIVE.

About effing time!

The HOA analogy is spot on - it's an SOA (Stadium Owner's Assoc.).

All changes (outside of routine maintenance/upkeep) are subject to league approval. Interestingly the higher scrutiny is in part due to the Patriots mud "field" tactic to slow down the Colts (which they paid back with 900 degree locker room and 80 degree plus on-field temp a couple years later).
