I don't understand how everyone is missing this. I don't have a problem with Tebow outside of his proselytizing. Him being signed to play TE in the NFL is a joke. He has zero chance of contributing anything meaningful. He lacks the foot speed, speed and size to play the position. Today's TEs are basically very large WRs. Maybe 25 years ago he could have carved out a backup TE role on some team. But today? Zero chance. Zip, zero, zilch nada. This is just a clown doing a buddy a solid as Tebow needs three games to get fully vested. The only real problem with this (if you are a Jags fan) is how much credibility it is going to cost Urban in his locker room. A coach coming out of college who is already facing an uphill battle in being respected by his veteran players and establishing a winning culture. This was not smart on his part. Couple that with Lawrence's comments about how important football is to him. I don't see this going well. You can skate in the NFL on sheer talent. But the truly elite QBs are maniacal with their preparation. Lawrence might be a very good QB. But I don't see him being a great one. I think this Urban/Lawrence thing has a chance to be a giant mess over the next few years. We will see. Still doesn't take responsibility for the Caulpepper over Brees decision he made years ago.
Your post made no sense, as it was a rambling screed that bounced all over the place, making claims and then undercutting those claims almost immediately. The last sentence is particularly bizarre, as you seem to be blaming Urban Meyer for something that you likely are attributing to him, when the person that you would seem much more likely to be talking about, given the subject matter, would be Nick Saban. Blaming someone for giving a WTF in response is a "you" problem, not a "them" problem. You are a perfect example of the toxic infantile morons this forum is flooded with and why I rarely come here anymore.
Players who came out of retirement to play again in NFL after age 30 (Tebow is hardly the first)
1. Marshawn Lynch
2. Randy Moss
3. Brett Favre
4. Ricky Williams
5. Deion Sanders
6. Reggie White
The player backlash against Tebow is unwarranted
Agree. If Tebow had made the switch to TE or H-back 6-7 years ago, he might have had a decent career. Going to be tough for him now at that age after so long out of the league.
Lebron is getting attacked but he's still on a team because he's a great player. He's not getting cut from the Lakers or cast out of the league.
That was merely my point. If kap was putting up numbers like his Superbowl season he would be on a team.
Teams will put up with alot if you are talented. If you are a distraction and not offering much on the field, then good luck

Wow! You really hate the guy and you’re wrong about his speed and athleticism. The guy ran a 6.66 3 cone drill. He was Edelman like quick in a broad, strong 240 lb body. There was a reason teams and scouts were salivating over the idea of him switching positions. He was an athletic freak with great instincts on the field. I doubt he can do it at this point, but why not try. He will be one of 90 on the roster. He won’t be a a traditional TE, but potentially a Taysom Hill type.I don't understand how everyone is missing this. I don't have a problem with Tebow outside of his proselytizing. 10 years too late....but but, Tom Brady was too old to play Qb 5 years ago....that’s what we were told each preseason! You are 100% right.
The "problem" I have is that it is happening 10 years too late and that the only reason he is getting this opportunity is that he is a popular figure and has a connection to Urban Meyers.
I mean, at the end of the day, I do not care about that and I just hope, for him, that he does good and earns a job. If he does not, no big deal.
So Foreskin, you’re intimating that TB being able to play at an advanced age is roughly similar for baseball broken bones Tim Teblow? Ok. If that’s how God chooses to have it played.10 years too late....but but, Tom Brady was too old to play Qb 5 years ago....that’s what we were told each preseason!

The only comparable attribute that they share is their first initial.10 years too late....but but, Tom Brady was too old to play Qb 5 years ago....that’s what we were told each preseason!
I just love that Tebow will be on a NFL field playing while Kapernick fades away even more!!

Foreskin huh....something you dine on down in P-town every weekend? Didn’t think I’d have to return here and explain to a halfwit child what my post meant. People have stated that Tebow should have done this 10 years ago. Sooo, some would say his past his prime and too old.....the same was said about BRADY. BRADY proved them wrong. The only people who have an issue with Tebow making a comeback liberal snowflake Biden jock lickers. When you come here and can’t handle someone else’s opinion.....perhaps it’s time to wander out in the pasture. So Foreskin, you’re intimating that TB being able to play at an advanced age is roughly similar for baseball broken bones Tim Teblow?
