Patriots 2021 schedule is dope

Give divisions to, say:

Buffalo
KC
Tennessee
Cleveland

So the Pats fight with Miami, Baltimore, Indy, Cleveland...who do you have for your other 3? Pittsburgh? LAC? Maybe Denver?

Could be another wild Wild Card scramble this year.

Yeah afc is gonna be a dogfight again from the looks of it. Last year even with 7 spots 10 wins wouldnt get you in, maybe the same this year. Compared to years past where 8 and 9 win teams got in. Of last years playoff teams right now it seems only indy could really fall alot if wentz still sucks there. Bmore ten and pitt maybe a little but they should all be very much in it. So despite all our improvements playoffs is still far from a guarantee, though im hopeful.

I still have KC as the clear favorite, but it's a wild fight right below that. And as usual, KC is very top-heavy, where an injury to any of 3-4 guys would seriously debilitate them. Should be a fun run coming up over the next couple of years, and I expect a BB-coached and talented team to be right in the thick of it.

Definitely kc with that new ol. Buffalo is returning most the same people and looked like a clear #2, but it’s buffalo so you never know :)

Agreed - they have depth in offensive skill positions and not much anywhere else to survive even a few injuries. Will be interesting their approach to the cuts coming across the league.

I think they have a good chance at a wildcard, at least (and I'm not sold that Buffalo is unbeatable in the AFCE - but it's a TOUGH division now, with three playoff-caliber teams). In the playoffs, who knows?

I'll be very surprised if they get to the AFCCG and especially the Superbowl with a rookie or Cam Newton at QB, but I don't ever bet against the BB Pats.

Seriously, though, go through this team position by position and tell me a stronger (on paper) Patriot team in the last decade. Obviously at QB, but other than that position, there's a ton here to like.
Indeed, quarterback is the critical position.

And coaches often must make their personnel decision on the fly, during the season. We saw epic fail with Berry - repeatedly, and massive success with Belichick.

I don't know what will happen but this is up to Bill. I like our chances.

Have they "leaked" any dates yet? They usually do. I wish they would go back to releasing the schedule in April...

You really see this team as just one win better than last year's squad? I mean I'm all about keeping my expectations in check and not indulge in unrealistic optimism, but this seems like unrealistic pessimism.
You make a point but other teams improve too and sometimes.......a lot of times that throws a monkey wrench into the equation.

They haven’t, but there is a rumor that the Pats vs Bucs game will be a Thanksgiving game. It’s the first and probably last game I’ll ever root against Brady. I’m not rooting against Cam, I hope he does well and gets the Pats into the playoffs, but can you imagine if it’s Mac vs Tom ? May be the most watched Pat’s regular season game ever.

It’s gonna be a fun week, schedule release May 12th and rookie camp May 14th-17th.

Every player one team gets, another team lost. And for every rookie that comes in with the arrow pointing up, a vet loses a step. I can't compute a realistic scenario where every team makes a huge jump forward.

The Pats were completely revamped on both sides of the ball. Not all the moves will work out, of course, but really just having Hightower, KVN, and Judon instead of the catastrophe we fielded at LB in 2020 is worth another W.

Itll be interesting either way. Imagine if we play a great game and tom finishes 0-3 against cam lol would have to be one of the most random flukes in sports. But if the game is that late in the season i think itll be mac.

If it's a Thanksgiving game I can't see Mac Jones not being our starter. Against that defense what better way to see what he's got?

10 wins, with the Bills doing one or two wins better. Probably out of playoff/wildcard berth.

If they have the good sense to dump the hapless Cam early on, they might do better, but the traditional Pats rookiephobia wil likely prevent this, and we'll have to watch Cam stumble around out there, launching random heaves all over the yard, longer than necessary.

hopefully not that much late night or monday night games, **** them, can't watch at 2 am anymore, getting old:crying:

Biggest fluke is hands down Eli's 2 SBs

Yeah, considering what the Giants in general have done past 20 years having 2 rings in that time is major luck. Those are literally the only 2 years they have gone past the divisional round, maybe the only 2 years they won a playoff game period but id have to check. And in both years the stars aligned for a title for 9-10 win teams.

Buffalo isn't going to win the division 2 years in row. I don't think that franchise can keep it together.
