Sure. I get what you are saying and I am certainly not advocating throwing away picks by any means but QB was by far their biggest need IMO and a second round pick at that position seems spot on to me. Brady will be 44 and his contract expires when he is 45 so only 2 more years. You want the QB in there now to learn from Brady as well.

BTW, as an aside since you mentioned STs. I believe the Bucs had the worst STs coverage of any team and their punter was pretty lousy too on top and yet they won the SB. It really flies in the face of BB spending so many roster spots on STs guys. I always hated that strategy by him.
Definitely. Still happy to see them spend a few picks on it this draft though.

The thing with Rodgers is what did he expect them to do when he tanked the season to get Mccarthy fired and then openly moaned about the hire of LaFleur? The smartest thing the Packers did was draft Love. They need to cut bait with Rodgers now and get the haul he will command after being league MVP. This really could not worked out better for them.
Who will the mediots gush over if Rodgers is gone or goes to a team that doesn't have much success?

I love this Darden pick.

AB is awesome but doesn’t really provide that quick burst horizontal threat. Same with Godwin...as I’ve pointed out, great size and quickness but neither elite. When on the field together, both Brown and Godwin were able to cause problems with underneath crossers, but when put out there without the other (or the other lined up outside), they weren’t able to attack on those short, middle of field catch and runs which are devastating (see, Welker, Edelman.)

Spytek (awesome last name, btw) points out what we’ve said about Scotty Miller. Pulling the race card here, but a white, undersized guy is often perceived as quick and horizontal, though Miller is really a vertical specialist.

Also seems like a great special teams/returner prospect. From a need perspective, this is a home run. Now just hope he’ll pan out.

I was thinking the same thing. Love this guys skillset in terms of his speed and quickness to stretch the field across. They really need the STs returner too so I hope he pans out too in this respect.

In terms of larger picture, I was also thinking how the Bucs in a draft so deep at WR take this guy in the 4th round despite being incredibly deep at the position. He is probably a 2nd round pick in any draft that is not this deep. Then you have the Pats not taking a WR until the 7th round. We may be the most needy team at the position even with our FA pick ups. Overall, I really loved our draft but this has been gnawing at me. Is Bill that afraid of drafting WRs? What gives?

P.S. Elijah Moore is going to be fantastic for the Jets.

Why did this thread get moved?
Well the guy who uses Tom Brady's name for his screen name whined pretty much non stop about this thread. Ironically he subjects the entire board to have to see his name with his every post. Love it when a troll trolls themself with every comment and reply.

Tom spent a few minutes in Tom V Time going over some games and it featured Super Bowl 42 and it was probably the most depressed we’ve ever seen him publicly.

Funny how a thread about Aaron Rodgers gets to stay in the main forum...

Had to turn off Pro Football Talk this morning. Chris Sims whining about Refs in the Superbowl and NFC championship game. Says if they called it like they did in the Superbowl then the Packers would have been there. Florio and Sims both started talking about the "Brady privilege". That's when I turned it off.

Rodgers and Elway two greatest quarterbacks ever!
