DRAFT Joshuah Bledsoe

Well, they needed safety help. At least they are taking a shot here. This late is it hard to be overly hopeful, but Sherman went around this spot, so it can happen. DB tends to be one of those spots where you consistently get sleepers in the late rounds every year.

Nfl.com had him well down the rankings for safeties. coach must have seen something to warrant the pick. he seems small To me.

I feel like this is Jordan Richards drafted more where he should have been. I really hope it works out.

Was literally about to start a thread to give Josh some love. I was eating while the pick was made. Watched him and others on that team.

Versatile player that can play slot/nickel, high, 2hi/split. Played a lot of box, slot, even on the line or slightly off the ball.

Seems like a smart player, has very good instincts and awareness. As mentioned above they moved him around a lot. Lots of task and responsibilities. Shallow, flat/hook. + eyes, ceribial player.

Box player in 3S looks.

Lots of talk, vocal yelling out to teammates.

+ on misdirection, PA, doesn't bite or sell out. Stays on his toes and diagnoses.

Physical defender that plays aggressive and hard 24/7.

Keep him in space. Let him read & react. Use his eyes. Don't want him matched up against athletes.

coach must have seen some of this too. I hope he works out.

Dane Brugler's summary (projected 6th to 7th round; 19th best S)

SUMMARY: A two-year starter at Missouri, Bledsoe was a free safety in former defensive coordinator Ryan Walters’ 4-2-5 scheme (Walters was retained from the previous regime under new head coach Eliah Drinkwitz in 2020). He managed only one interception at Mizzou, but he led the team in passes defended as a junior and senior. Bledsoe is an amped up competitor with the play speed to make stops at the line of scrimmage or race with receivers to the catch point. However, he doesn’t have the high-end physical skills to make up for mistakes. Overall, Bledsoe needs to play with more consistent anticipation and discipline, but he has the mentality of a linebacker and the smooth movement skills to stay attached to routes. He projects as a nickel safety in the NFL.

Son of a coach, will be pressed by no-longer-existent 13th round pick Jericho Brady. Likely will always be compared with Fellow late-round defensive back Aaron Mirer.

I hope he picks number 11 for his Jersey
I do wonder whether we're going to reissue 11 anytime soon. It could go either way to me.

Little ****ing Billy & his New Minions just can't ****ing help themselves, can they?

This pick deserves an F ****ING MINUS MINUS.
