NFL considering allowing throwback helmets, could Pat Patriot return this year?

Pat Patriot > Flying Elvis every day of the week and twice on Sundays! I pity you fools who don't know whatcha talkin' about!

And for the unis...red > Flying Elvis royal blues > white > blue > gray

I don't think they're ever going back and I while I'm fond of Pat I'm equally fond of Elvis. I wouldn't mind a change back to red as the primary as shown below. I wouldn't mind all the white changed to silver as well for a blend of old and new.

I wouldn't mind a change back to that QB....

I could have sworn that the Bills used their old throwback helmet logo at least 3 times last year
They did. They were allowed to do it because they are simply replacing a logo decal on the helmet. A different color helmet would be another helmet.

So the Pats could technically slap a Pat Patriot on their silver helmets just like the Broncos have put their old logo on their current helmet.

Kraft is just being really stubborn.

ahh that explains it. So if they wanted to go back to their red helmets, that would ne a no no.

rumour is the Bills went to the red helmets because Joe Ferguson was throwing too many interceptions At the time the Pats, Dolphins and Colts were all sporting white helmets so they thought he'd see his receivers better if they wore red.

Denver never should have switched logos either. Their new one is just a rip-off of the Baltimore Stalllions when they had a CFL team.

Pat is easily one of the worst logos in NFL history. You can't even see what that is from normal viewing distances. It needed to go long before it did. The Flying elvis isn't perfect but it's far more distinctive, and you can actually make out what you're looking at on TV.

Ol' Pat is right down there with the Winking Buccaneer as overelaborate and rather pathetically comical logos. In fact if they'd just used Pat's head like the Bucs did it would have been far better than the whole Pat.

You don't know what the **** you're talking about.

This is my favorite concept uniform. The white helmet goes will everything. It combines the historic middle stripes with the modern era. My only complaint is the blue pants on the new design. It would rock if we switched them to white pants. All whites are awesome.

All-whites look like pajamas...or long johns...

I’ll believe it when I see it.

They’ve been kicking this can around for the last 7-8 years and never actually change it.

or this idea, where you blue up the Pat Patriot image a bit..

I liked the Bills red helmets. I also liked the Broncos new look in 1997, but the uniforms have become dated and in need of some tweaking. Whats funny is that fans want teams to sport new looks like the Bucs, Broncos etc., now they want their old look back.
actually. Pat on a silver helmet doesn't look half bad
That looks pretty good. I'm not a fan of white helmets.
