Patriots cut Edelman(Update- EDELMAN RETIRES)

Thank you Julian. I hope he retires rather than trying to make a go of it. He has nothing to prove and I really don't want to see him play as a shell of his former self.

Pretty ****ty way to let a franchise great go.

Business is business, I guess.

I don't say this as an attack against you, but only because I'm genuinely curious: How were they supposed to do it? If they don't think he can play healthy this year, or it's true he's planning to retire, what is the acceptable way to move on from him?

Man I will miss him so much. Absolute warrior. I feel as sentimental towards him as any player I’ve watched. There was nothing like watching his intensity in a big game.

Damn. I get it, but still sucks. Probably my favorite Patriot after Tom. Got 2 Edelman #11 shirts. Amazing story, amazing player. Some of those trophies wouldn’t be there without him. If it is retirement, I hope he’s able to get right and live a good life.

Grazie di tutto...per sempre nei nostri cuori...

Thanks for all...forever in our hearts

Non ti dimenticheremo mai
We will never forget you

E P I C
a legend...

Glad to see this..now he can retire and still collect his hard earned money. He has been retired in my mind for two years.

If he is planning to retire, let him announce it first or have a joint press conference.

If he is planning to play again, maybe let him post his goodbyes first.

Something like that.

really? this is what you're going to whine about?

N'Keal one spot closer to making the roster...

One of the most underrated WRs ever. His playoff numbers from 2013-2019 extrapolated to a full season are 125 receptions & 1,562 yards. His catches against the Seahawks, Falcons, Chiefs & Rams are some of the most clutch in the history of the game.

Gronk & Edelman playing together only lost one playoff game & it was by 2 points against the Broncos. The clutch gene by the QB-WR-TE won't be replicated.
