Sam Darnold to Panthers

Another one bites the dust with the jete. Its where QBs go to die. Cause they SUCK.
yup...already a franchise destroying bust and he hasn't even been drafted yet. I just wish Browning Nagle had a kid so the Jete could try THAT route again. I just enjoy tragi-comedy..

Another year another jete bust. Death, Taxes, and the Jete drafting a QB that craters.

I think Darnold still has potential. Not a terrible package for the Panthers to get him. If he can turn it around it’ll be very much worth it.

I dont think much had changed after this trade except that the Panthers won't move up to secure whoever ends up QB4.

If the rumors of Denver being after Bridgewater are true then that might be also true for the Broncos. In that case it might be enough to move to #7 to get Fields/Lance (or whoever will be left after #3).

We should have made this trade. Huge upgrade over newton
I agree. I like Darnold and he was gamer at USC. Jets worst nightmare is to trade him to the Pats and then he does well.

You think the Jets would entertain a single thought of trading, what was supposed to be their franchise QB to BB and the Pats? Not a chance in hell they considered that for a single moment.

Why if they do not want Darnold?
They clearly didn't. And they also passed on Tom Brady which doesn't look too good. I was just saying he was a better value. I think the odds aren't in their favor of drafting a QB that high and him doing well. Could've used that 1st rounder to add a game changer at WR or upgrade the CB position which is in dire need.

The pressure is on Shanahan and Lynch to get it right at QB or else it will set them back years and they will get fired.

That's the rumor on Denver. They need to push Drew to see if the is a keeper. If this eventually occur, then the chances of 2 QBs dropping to 15 is good.

Today was a good day for the pats.

The consensus is growing that the 49ers are drafting the most pro ready QB in the draft in Mac Jones.

Panthers trade for Darnold:

I’d day the odds the pats are either getting Jimmy G & a top prospect or one of the 5 first round QBs are decent.

I think Atl is taking a QB....Ryan is getting older and this is decent year to pick possible successor

I highly doubt the Jets would’ve done the same trade with us and potentially have Darnold haunt them twice a year. Would have cost more. Instead they traded Darnold out of the conference.

IF Patriots stay "Pat", they can end up with either: Mac Jones, Justin Fields, or Trey Lance.

Mac Jones goes to SF, I suspect. It is what I would do with that pick; I am really impressed with Jones.

I would love it if Jacksonville comes to their senses and drafts Zack Wilson and lets Lawrence fall to the Jets. BB would annihilate Trevor Lawrence...twice a year, season after season. Just like Darnold.

I have heard that Carolina was very interested in Mac Jones. Wonder if all the rumors about San Fran taking Jones are true. Either way, I think it was worth the risk to take on Darnold.
