Feel like BB's going to offer more than that to SF to get him...If they could get Garrapolo for their 2nd I would make that deal and look at drafting a QB if the one they want is there in the 1st.

I wasn't judging it either way, just feel like BB might ultimately overpay in the eyes of manyAnd that would be foolish. A second rounder is a lot to give for a guy that can’t stay healthy.
It's a very fluid situation, but if I had to pick an option now, it would be Fitz plus a promising round two or three qb prospect. You'll probably have go that route for a few years until you get lucky with a draftee. I don't see Bill ponying up for a high-end FA qb, and probably the Pats won't get so bad that they'll have a shot at a high 1st-round qb prospect.
Cam? Honestly, I might just give up on the whole thing if they do that. If you're gonna put that stumblebum out there again, you might as well just mail in your concessions for next year's games right now.

My sources say BB thinks North Dakota’s Trey Lance has physical tools eerily similar to Bills QB Josh Allen, which argues if he’s available at 15 we draft him.
Zero chance Lance lasts to 15

I’d LOVE Lance, but no way he lasts until #15 unless he starts stealing crab legs...even then..

One has absolutlely nothing whatsoever to do with another.Go back in time to 2017. If you were to be told that the Patriots would deal JG away for a 2nd round pick in 2018, and from that point the Patriots would:
- Lose in the Super Bowl with Brady throwing for 505 yards that year,
- Win the Super Bowl the next year,
- Win the division at 12-4 and lose in the divisional round, and
- After letting Brady walk, go through a 7-9 season,
- Proceed to trade a 2nd and, say, a 5th round pick in 2021 to reacquire Garoppolo....
Would you have taken that? In other words, the Pats would have traded a 2021 2nd and 5th in exchange for a 2017 2nd, and during the time they didn't have JG they'd have won 3 division titles, won two AFC championships, and one Super Bowl, and then had JG be the successor to Tom Brady (just a few years later than originally figured).
I don't know about you, but if you told me all this would transpire in the middle of 2017, I'd have taken it in a heartbeat. Basically giving up an extra 5th round pick and still having all that success in the meanwhile while JG was gone.
