Interesting free agent ratings and predictions from folks at PFF. They show Bucs signing most of their top free agents:

#2 Godwin - Bucs franchise tag.
#8 L David - Bucs sign 3 yrs @ $40M
#11 W Fuller - Packers sign 5 yrs @ $87.5M
#13 J Thuney - Cardinals sign 4 yrs @ $57M
#14 S Barrett - Bucs sign 4 yrs @ $68M
#17 Fitzpatrick - Pats sign 1 yr @ $10M
#18 R. Sherman - Bills sign 2 yrs @ $28M
#29 J. Winston - Colts sign 1 yr @ $5M
#30 AB - Bucs sign 1 yr @ $2M
#57 Gronk - Bucs sign 1 yr @ $10M
#69 D. Andrews - Pats sign 3 yrs @ $18M
#83 M. Davis - Bucs sign 2 yrs @ $8.5M
#86 J. White - Pats sign 2 yrs @ $10M
#99 Suh - Bucs sign 1 yr @ $6.75M

In the thread from I linked, they have now mentioned all the below as better than Brady

Patrick Mahomes
Joe Montana
Brett Favre
Dan Marino
Aaron Rodgers
Johnny Unitas
Otto Graham
Bart Starr
Peyton Manning
Steve Young
Warren Moon
So they're saying that a mediocre QB has tooled them twice in the playoffs.
HERE is what they need!

If JJ Watt really wants a ring, he should put his money where his mouth is and sign for peanuts. He's already made a ton of money in the NFL.

Only reason I don't see the Steelers as an option is because he'd be a backup.

He will. So will others. Mike Evans already saying he'll sign for less is starting the trend.

People are only willing to do that when they feel there's a HIGH probability of wining SB. BB can't say that anymore.

FAs will go to the Bucs for cheaper while Brady is there. Which is probably 2 more years.

They can also extend Brady and reduce the cap hit.

Over half of those names don't belong in ANY serious "X is > Brady" discussion.

Man... Marpet moves like a mother****er.
Yep...I was disappointed when Tampa chose him at #61 during the 2015 draft...I might've taken him ahead of Tyler Lockett at #64 to be the LG replacement for Logan Mankin$ that Joel Bitonio should've been the year before...

Licht said at the parade party that ownership had given them the resources to keep the team together. I was reading that meant ownership would need to pay more up front cash in the form of bonuses. Not a cap guy, does that make sense?

Higher first year payout via bonus, lower first year cap hit via base salary escalation and bonus hit spread out over the life of the deal.

The guaranteed money is the key. If the Bucs offer the most money up front then they will resign their key FAs. That money is then spread over the length of the deal which keeps the cap hits manageable.

Yes, because signing their free agents will require a lot of up front money in the form of signing bonuses Which are spread out over the life of the contract for salary cap purposes, but require a lot of cash to be paid up front. In terms of actual cash payments, the Bucs will spend far above the cap this year if they do that.

That sounds about right for Gronk. I've heard talking heads downplay Gronk cause he is not out there making catches, as if Gronk's ability to stone DE on an Island is worthless. They think Gronk would sign for 5mil or less. For TE, 10 mil is rank 5th, 7.5 is about 10, and 6.5 is about 15. I think overall Gronk is still a top 5 TE. He will take a discount but I bet it will be a 2 year, 8 mil average.

2nd tier top WR are 10 to 20 mil. So if we put AB at the bottom of that due to age and the inherent risk in signing him, I'd put his FMV at 10mil. So no way AB signs for 2 mil. 5 mil is the lowest with a hometown discount.

LOL. That's my favorite. The game was RIGGED. RIGGED I tell ya. Yet there he is on a fan board typing away about a sport that is supposedly fixed. I never understood that type of fan. Why watch a sport that you believe is fixed much less sign up for a fan board? Can someone explain that psyche to me, if possible?
People watch wrastlin' don't they?

Tampa can’t be this stupid man unreal choosing a WR over Barret when you’re loaded at that position, mind boggling
