JJ Watt might be on the block

10 million. I would bring suh back much cheaper and he still looks decent.
Ya I think they might be able to get Suh for 7mil or so. Maybe. The biggest factor is availability. We know Watt has issues with that. I'd love him in NE for that same price but no way he does that unless maybe there is less interest than we think and we land a good QB. If he is still unsigned at that point you never know!

What does "chooses money over a championship" mean? $5M, $10M, $15M? It is important to quantify the projection because then everything changes. When you do the math and look at the salary caps, Tampa, Green Bay and Pittsburgh do not work. He is not going to play for $5M or $6M when other guys on the same DLine are at $10M+. He knows he is older, but does not think he is a part-time player. He is not going to play for $5M to be with his brother. Jason McCourty came here to play with Devin, AND because no other team was really interested. JJ will get interest and a $10Mish contract, but not from Tampa, Pitt or GB.
Tampa has a really good cap situation. Just 4 restructurings can create $50M of cap savings ($20M from Brady alone)

End of an error.

Never been a more overhyped player who has accomplished less.

They might do it, but that will put them in cap hell in a few years. Maybe they are in "win 2 at all costs" mode? Don't forget Gronk wants $10M, Barrett wants $15M, David wants $15M, Godwin wants $15M, Suh wants $7M = $62M. Did I mention AB at >$10M? And JJ Watt at $10M? Never happen.

Tampa could easily get watt, james white, david andrews. Hard to see them losing with that even if godwin and pierre paul walk (thinking they can afford to keep barrett )

They have a decent amount of money, but they have a few big ticket free agents that they will want to keep. Godwin is going to get good #1 WR money. That is is going to take a sizable chunk of their cap to keep and he was Brady's most important WR for large stretches of the season. My guess is that they will franchise him which will block up a majority of their cap space. And David will likely take a large portion of what is left of the cap.

I don't see the Bucs being big players in free agency. I think the Bucs might be able to sign Watt or White and Andrews but not all three.

There's no reason they shouldn't be in win at all costs mode. Before this year, the franchise had only won 6 playoff games in nearly 5 decades of existence. They're not a winning organization risking their long-term future by going all in. There's no guarantee they'll be able to accomplish anything once their current team is gone. Why shouldn't they try to contend for Super Bowls for the next 3 years?

How do we know Gronk wants $10m? Assumption? Did he say?

Watt isn't coming here. He's going to a contender where they have established stars on the D-line. Pittsburgh would've been my lock if they didn't already have studs with Hayward and Tuitt.

Tampa has too many tight ends so any chance we can trade for OJ Howard ?

Watt can play DL , LB , and TE. He is one of the greatest humans of alltime. Just ask him.

Gronk can only play TE. Did you see the fiasco vs Miami when he tried safety ?

Watt > Gronk
Great human. Ask Watt. He’ll sprint to the mic to tell us all about it.

Watt is a big names but he's not the guy he once was and he's injured all the time. He strikes me as a part time passing downs player at this point.

We will see what the market dictates but he would be a monster in tampa with that DL.

If the Bears release Hicks, go get him.

Yeah, I think he's the kind of guy who can clean up if the rest of the line is good.

I do wonder if some teams will overpay though.

He’s likely a cut candidate. Had a bad year. 31. I was thinking kawann short but they would have to eat up 11 million dollars. Save 8,603,250. That’s a bad contract. Short has been injury prone.

Zero chance of Watts coming here. Did you not hear the Stafford related news? Players do not want to come here anymore. Time to burn it down completely and have a fresh reset, imho.
