Brady's dad claims Bill may be "On the hot seat"

So let me get this straight. Because brady won a superbowl we should compound our issues to not only include needing a QB but also by needing a new GM and a coach.

Makes sense...
Not right now. But in 3 years we'll see where the rebuilt Pats are at.

Depending on who we get at QB this year we may compete this year. Not for a championship but could see us making the playoffs.

People are acting like this team is 1-15. They were 7-9 with record high opt outs and a QB who couldn't throw. If we get semi competent QB play and upgrade the offensive talent as well as getting some guys back no reason we can't go 10-6 or 11-5.

We're not dumping BB. That's obvious. But he has a LOT to prove now. Pushing Brady out the door early looks like a HUGE mistake of Hubris by BB. He believes he can win with any JAG at QB but obviously that's not true.

Great QBs elevate great coaches to the next level. How many championships did Andy Reid win without Mahomes, how about Bruce Arians without Brady, and last but not least how many Superbowls has BB won without Brady? *drops the mic*

The division is also getting tougher and we have a lot of holes to fill.

Belichick should have been fired after benching Malcolm Butler in Super Bowl 52. He wiped out an entire season with an incredibly asinine decision. Probably the worst decision ever made by a head coach in the history of professional sports. Now he's clearly made the worst decision ever by a GM... not locking up Brady when he had the chance. Even worse he greased the skids for Brady's exit. And Gronk. Brady's still playing at an optimum level and he's on his way to establishing another dynasty for another franchise where he's also functioning as part-time head coach and part-time GM. Literally Brady assembled the key pieces of Tampa Bay's Super Bowl victory... Gronk, Brown and Fournette. Meanwhile Belichick has a roster depleted by his total incompetence as a GM. Exhibit 1A: No Brady and no succession plan.

Belichick is a proven incompetent. Fact. He needs to be fired.

Bill the GM should be fired. Bill the coach can stay. However, I doubt Bill the coach would like that.

Incredibly shortsighted and millenial take but not surprising. No clue about what this team has been for 20 yrs but 1 game makes you fire the coach. You would want andy reid fired today as well. And by the way, who would you want to hire?

So we are saying phil jackson is greater than jordan since he won without him as well ? IMO BB has nothing to prove really . Its hard to keep a company running for 20 yrs and with the same guy running your show. The fact that they stuck around for 20 yrs and went to 9SBs and won 6 is the greater achievement we need to see. It really doesnt happen especially in this sport. Yet in a 1 yr we want the coach to prove he is worthy . Kinda sad.

to the wonderful inhabitants of tom brady's underwear ....... BB ain't goin' anywhere......if you don't like it, there are 31 other teams

or you can just remain cuddled in Tom Brady's underwear

You should move onto a Bucs' team website......you have no point in being here any more

Belichick -had- a succession plan in Garoppolo and the rumblings about them considering a first round QB the last few years, before opting to acquire more talent -for- Brady.

Brady is just beyond normal aging curves, which makes trying to build for a future beyond Tom really difficult because you can't -really- keep 'going for it now' without the salary cap bills coming due in terms of having to pay your older talent and/or having to ride your rookies. And Tom just didn't have the patience to deal with the same kind of salary cap issues in his 40s that he did in his 20s-30s.

Also, this year's COVID opt-outs makes this a -really- unnatural year to evaluate a GM on, since you don't -normally- have COVID opt-outs in a normal season.

Honestly, Tampa Bay and New England are on vastly different phases of the salary cap life-cycle where you have lots of young talent that don't have to be paid yet, vs a team of older vets that you pay off. That New England managed to sail the 'young talent replacing older vets growing pains' salary cap phase at least two or three times in 20 years while still contending is the -anomaly-, and this year's rebuilding year is more... well, aside from COVID, typical. I think COVID honestly ****ed up the Patriots a lot more this year than most other teams. (And the youth also makes it -more- likely that players don't opt out, because they don't -have- the same sort of family responsibilities the older players who opted out do...)

But...but...but...all the Belichick honks on here told me that winning a title a decade from now is way better than keeping the greatest athlete in sports history! No way they could be wrong!

Just like they were never wrong about Deflategate, or the Malcolm Butler benching, or drafting bums like Harry, etc, etc, etc! The Belichick disciples are never wrong around here! Now they'll all flock to this thread to click disagree with every post that clowns them and Bill! Truth hurts, huh?

he's got nothing to prove to me.......I'm just glad he said yes when Kraft came calling just like I am glad that Kraft bought the team.

Brady is gone, there is no Brady

You've obviously not read anything I've written on this board all season. Pretty dumb take.

Yup. Lets just fire him and bring in Adam Gase. You are right. I don't know why I didn't see it before.

20 years of excellence. Your opinion is rendered moot.

So we never win super bowl 53 if he was fired. What's your point?
