Andy Reid’s son involved in serious accident while intoxicated

wonder if he'll get off Scott free like donte stallworth.... and stallworth killed someone

This is a distraction the Chiefs/Andy Reid did not need. They also have injuries on the O-line. It's all lining up for Tom to get #7.

I mean. That man was running across a busy highway.

Yes because I’m sure you know the quality of parenting they’ve had

Appears to be substance abuse from two sons. Would bet my house on a genetic problem with addiction. So many parents are also victims of addiction as they watch their kids succumb to it.

I’m not excusing anyone who makes the worst possible decisions, especially those that put others in danger. But it’s irresponsible at best to cast blame on Andy Reid for this without knowing specifics.

Blaming ‘genetics’ is always such a great excuse for no self control or will, and eliminating responsibility for this sort of stuff. Are some more susceptible? Sure. But doesn’t mean there’s no alternative.

a player would be now suspended for a year or wahtever, will this POS also be suspended by the NFL for what he did? or are only players accountable while coaches aren't?
if it was a Patritos coach Goodell would run to get the next 1st round pick from the Pats

Poor Andy Reid has not had luck with his children.
Raising decent human being doesn't have much to do with luck, just parenting. How much time do you think an NFL coach spends parenting their children? For every ******* that gets caught drunk driving, they probably got away with a dozen times first. Guy is a scumbag with no regard for anybody but himself.

Jesus Britt Reid is a f-ing loser.

Andy's kids are messed up.

Personal life[edit]

Reid is the son of Andy and Tammy Reid. He is the second of five children. He has two brothers (Garrett and Spencer) and two sisters (Drew Ann and Crosby).[4]

In 2007, Britt was sentenced to 8 to 23 months in jail alongside his brother Garrett for running a "drug emporium" from their home.[5]

Reid was involved in a road rage incident in 2007 where he pointed a gun at another man's face. A lawsuit was eventually settled out of court for an undisclosed sum in 2014.[6]

In other words he is a complete POS

Always viewed addiction as some sort of genetically induced illness, personally my dad and my son have always had significant problems, and I have to fight those tendencies(I have been successful)..

Moving away from that anecdotal evidence I spent a career in Corrections, it seemed as though "apples never felt far from the tree", gotta wonder who is the "carrier" in the Reid family. No judgement of the Reid's, just something the kids/grandkids need to be aware of.

If you have those tendencies you always need to be aware, and if you choose to drink never get behind the wheel of an vehicle.

KC- 4 10:00 news last night.

75% through the broadcast a brief mention of Reids son in an accident that is under further investigation. No more details.

Not a single word about the kids in the hospital. Basically, screw them we have a game to play Sunday. The majority of this stations 10:00 broadcast was focused on the Super Bowl including fans stocking up on alcohol for Super Bowl parties and how the liquor stores were coping with the increased business.

My bet is that they will broadcast more about the seriousness of Reids drunken escapade on Saturday when less people are watching the news.

Andy sure turned out a couple of duds.
A 35 year old Assistant Outside Line Backers coach? Moving right up in the organization I see.

Belichicks son was the Defensive Coordinator last season.

If it was BB jr WBZ, WCVB, fox25 and WXNE would be all over it.

Problem w KC is b/c it's a small market y'all get either the n00b, flunkie or burn out journalists.

This will over shadow the weekend. Wonder how Reid will be for the game. I assume he will compartmentalize the best he can but what a weight going into the SB.

Jason Whitlock started here. Nick Wright too. Harris Faulkner was here. A couple have left here for new jobs in Boston.
