If Bill wants a bridge QB this is the offseason to get one. I'd love stafford here

Lots of interesting options out there. Stafford, watson, maybe Jimmy G if 49ers go after one of those top 2

Toô expensive. Rather see Stidham and Mac Jones compete.

Any good QB is going to be expensive. There's no guarantee Mac jones will ever be a good QB. We already know that stafford is.

Personally I doubt Bill wants to go through another season like this. He is going to want to compete

Can we stop acting like Stidham has shown any sort of evidence that he can be a competent starter in this league, or even a competent second string?

And Mac Jones is fat

That is actually pretty cheap for a QB of his caliber.

Patriots definitely should look into this. Without a QB doesn't matter what else Patriots do in the draft. It's #1 important position
I was steady to chime in with the « he’s not worth that it’s going to cost » rant.... but, while I remain unconvinced in Stafford, I’d be intrigued at 20M$...

Pros : he’s tough, he has athletic talent
Cons : sometimes makes mistakes because he thinks his arm can do anything

I don’t like the risk taking aspect. But the toughness would be respected in the locker. And I think BB could convince him that - to win - you sometimes just throw it away instead of risking it all. But I dunno if he wants to hang w Patricia anymore...

It's going to be interesting to see if the same people who wouldn't pay Brady will want to send the best draft pick we've had in forever for Stafford and pay him something similar. Do we have a chance at winning the AFC with him? Either draft a QB if you like one so we can spend the rest on the roster or draft best player available and offer something else for him.

Gilmore for Stafford Straight up
I’d much rather Grade for Jimmy G or draft Lance
I’m really leaning towards trading up for Lance

Stidham blows. Enough with that noise.

Putting the #15 on the table for Stafford is a no brainer and a fair deal for both sides. Do it.
I agree with you on Stidham (or at least I definitely have doubts), but would you like to give up the #15 pick just to have your heart broken in the final two minutes of the game with regularity? Because that's essentially what you'd be acquiring with it.

What if the QB at #15 ends up sucking? People act like you pick a first round QB you are getting a star. More likely it's 50-50 or even less. And by the time you know they aren't the guy 3 years has gone by and you have to draft a QB all over again. I just took a look at all the 1st round QBs in the past few years. There's alot of blaine gabberts and josh rosens. And that's too 10 picks

Just because bill screwed up with Brady doesn't mean he should let all other QBs go by

I agree. Stafford is not a winner.

Do we really have that clear of an assessment on him Ian? I saw the Lions lose a lot of close games and it was rarely at the fault of Stafford.
