2021 Mock Drafts

PFN have J'marr Chase dropping to us at 15 and Mac Jones in the 2nd. Which would be nice.

If Jones tonight leads Alabama to the victory and plays well as a leader he might be taken in 1st round IMO.

As much as a guy like Devonta would be amazing to land in the 1st - I just can't trust that he'd turn into anything other than a major bust.
Pats just can't maximize WR talent. I hate it. But haven't we seen enough to prove it.
If we'd have drafted Metcalf, he'd be exactly where Harry is right now. It's a curse, or a pride thing... I don't know, but it's real.

I disagree with that opinion. First off the Patriots don’t maximize wr talent because they don’t spend valuable draft capitol at the position. Yes Harry hasn’t worked out so far but thats the nature of the business. Do you really think Tom Brady couldn’t of utilized AJ Brown or DK Metcalf’s talent last year? Thats a crazy opinion if you believe that. This year is a bit different considering the qb troubles. they just chose the wrong guy. However, the highest besides Harry has been Dobson in the 2nd(bust) Branch in the 2nd(great) Chad Jackson 2nd (bust) Bethel Johnson 2nd (excellent st, soso wr)
Other than that no wr’s earlier than the 3rd so the problem could be the system but the degree of failure at the position itself is very high for all teams. Especially the ones not putting emphasis on the position in the draft. The Patriots in 20 years have maybe picked a wr earlier than the 5th round 4 or 5 times. 4th rder Malcolm Mitchell could been solid to be very good except for the knee.

Now the way a fan perceives Pittsburgh with WR’s may be the same way opposing fans see the Patriots with offensive lineman. Seems like we strike gold at that position at any point in the draft.

After tonight, both he and Davonta are probably out of reach.

Yeah, outstanding Jones' performance and Alabama team. D. Smith is incredible as well. He's got a rare skill to be open almost every time, his route running tree is just amazing.
My bottom line is if BB thinks Mac is the guy he should grab him at 15th because I have a feeling all 5 top QBs will be gone till 2nd round.

I know we have Harris and Sony but what if Najee Harris is on the board and our turn to pick , do you think BB would consider drafting him ???

Not unless he's still there when it's our turn to pick in the 5th.

Running backs are ten a penny, we have two good ones already and we have too many other glaring needs to address before we go using picks on running backs.

I agree but I dont think anybody expected Harris to be drafted by the Patriots last year ?....anyway I do think we need to draft for other positions before RB

CBS has us taking Trey Lance at 15. Mac Jones goes to Washington at 19. Lance seems a risk based on quality of opposition and small body of work. However, most drafts have him going top 15 or thereabouts so he must be worth a look.

Fan of Lance a mix of Mahommes and Jackson is his ceiling
I think he could come out being the best or second best QB.

very nice mock, the first six picks are outstanding!

You think the Pats would use 3 picks to draft rookie TE's and truly not know what they're getting? At this point with the depth of free agent TE's available wouldn't you agree that would be the safer route?

Belichick doesn't care much about what he already has/lacks at a position. After all, he double-dipped in 2019 at cornerback. And he finished this year's draft by ignoring WRs and taking three OLs in a row.
