National Championship GDT: Bama/OSU

Smith is hard enough to cover as it is. Gets harder when you decide to not even cover him at all.

That was ridiculous. In a bad eay

How does OSU’s defense already look tired? Y’all have had a bye week after almost every game this season.

Good D on that run, now they maybe want to cover Smith.

No. I call a spade a spade. Defenses rarely ever get near him.
I wasn't be facetious it was an honest question. Either way he seems to always make the right decision. I would be thrilled to get him next year. Obviously you don't agree. So goes life. Cheers Sir!

I say pass on Mac Jones.

One thing to keep in mind...If you see any players that are highly touted for this years draft, Bill probably won't take them.

I think Ohio St is going to have to be +2 in the TO battle to win this one.

Anybody have a link for the game?

And its as if he is not playing against a stacked defense on the other side. Its not like he is just lighting up NW Montana State...Of all the QB's most likely to be available at 15 he is my choice. In fact he would be 3rd on my list behind Lawrence and Wilson. I know many draft experts have Mac Jones as a 2nd rounder, but that is just not what the reality will be. Teams always reach. If we could get Waddle/Smith/Pitts etc at 15 and then trade back in to late round 1 or early round 2 and grab Jones that would be ideal. But I am ok with getting Jones at 15. Obviously FA and potential QB trades will dictate a lot of what happens. Bottom line I really like the kid.

And what a ****ing grab!
There have only been 3 years in the history of the draft when 5 or more QBs were taken in the 1st round (6 in '83 with Marino as the 6th). We'll see after the combine how everyone stacks up.

So many QB needy teams and then add in a few with aging Vets going through a regime change...it will be interesting. I think its likely one might slide say Lance(?) possibly but think at least 4 go in round one if not 5. Not sure we will see 6. But I don't think 5 is far fetched this year.

That’s a great play whoever drew that oneup, they gave up on Smith and then they get him in space walks in for the TD

I don’t know how to feel about Lance given the level of competition (but we said the same about Josh Allen) and the overall body of work. Very high risk, potential high reward pick. Whoever takes him is taking a pretty big gamble.

Really nice pass there

I think that is the rule every year

Broken collarbone for Sermon from the sounds of it. Too bad.

Huge holding call missed right in front of the ref.
