Here's my own top 5 list in no particular order.

I thought about putting the 2019 Titans loss in this list - it wasn't a "bad loss" like some of these others but knowing what we know now, it might be the saddest one. It was the end of the Patriots as we knew them.

My pick is actually not the obvious game in 2007 - I'm over that one and I can watch highlights of it now - but I still can't for another one on this list. Still makes me angry today that the Pats allowed themselves to get depantsed in their own stadium to THIS of all teams.

I'm over 2007 as well, but it was still the undoubted low point in my sports watching life though. Still makes me wince to think of Tyree, Asante etc.

2017

Could have been trips
That loss is on my list because I believe it was totally avoidable. The Eagles hype was annoying and most of all it wasted Brady's game, one of the greatest championship performances that you'll ever see by one player in any pro sport and it will never get the recognition it should because of one decision by the HC.

I still feel like there was a slight chance Brady would have retired after that season if we had won. The Tom vs Time documentary seemed to be leading up to it and he would have gone out on his best statistical SB performance along with a league MVP. I don't think it was a big chance but if there was ever a time I though he would hang it up it was heading into that super bowl week.

2007 SB was like someone died.

2009 was an embarrassment. That one got my vote. They quit before they took the field.

I'm the "Other"

There have certainly been worse losses in terms of embarrassment (2010 Jets), humiliation (2009 Ravens) and what was at stake (AFCCG, SB, etc).

I can't really explain it but the divisional loss to the Broncos in 06 (2005 season) just sticks with me.

No question the team had flaws and played poorly but I just recall being down in the dumps after that loss for a solid week.

2010 was the most inexcusable. 2007 the most consequential. 2006 a huge blown chance with a team that probably should not have won.

We thought Brady would never lose a playoff game

Yep. I was convinced they were poised for another deep playoff run. Total letdown.

2006. I agree with robertweathers that 2005 is a sneaky-good choice. But 2006 was the worst for me.

not counting 2007 because that should be number 1, i don't think i've ever been as angry with sports as i was after the eagles super bowl. with the 2007 game it was anger and disbelief. 2017 was just pure anger because a single decision ruined what was the greatest super bowl performance by a qb. 505 yards and 3 td's on a top defense wasted. plus the bs touchdown rulings in that game

2005 - yup. Losing to Jake freaking Plummer. 14 point swing too on Brady's INT. Should have been 13-10 Pats instead of 17-6 Broncos. Or at least still 10-6 - that was a touchback.

Vinatieri's final game with the Patriots too :( That was pretty similar to Brady's a year ago. Neither played well and neither of them wanted to end their run like that.

'06 sucked, but honestly the better team won

'10 to the jets blew, but it was so early in the run, it stung more because it was the Jets

'16 AFC championship kinda blew chunks

for me it's gotta be one of the SB losses to the giants......probably the 1st one, as that just was a gutshot, and I think i swore off social media for a few weeks after....didn't even turn on ESPN.....the 2nd loss sucked, too, but that game just made me mad vs complete drop kicked

2007 by far. Followed by the other 2 sb’s and Then 2006. I actually prefer the blowout losses lol easier to accept and move on

All of them.

first giants loss is the only one that can compare to the pre-BB loss to the bears for me......getting demolished that year stung bigtime

2017. That team was too good to lose like that
