Playing BAL or KC or SEA this year : very tough regardless of crowd / no crowd. I think they’ll drop the game vs KC and rebound to 3-2 before the bye.

Newton and this running game could be a problem for KC ... their defense is not very good

Edelman and Harry were both a little banged up going into the game, looked fine during the game, and were used very little. Fortunate for them. Hopefully they are feeling better.

Need the love reaction!

Got the all important H2H tiebreaker and might come in handy.Raiders will be better next time and so will we.

I really doubt there will be a next time. The media has decided the Raiders and Steelers are both elite teams already. Personally, I think the Steelers are on our level (playoff contender but probably won't win it all) and the Raiders will ultimately have an average season.

had we had a real kicker I wouldve predicted 12 wins. With that question mark id put my prediction at 10 which will get us in, not sure if as a division winner. But definitely far better than what the “7-9 at best” crowd thought.

To be fair, a lot of those "7-9 at best" predictions were made when Stidham was the presumptive starter.

As some have said, not a great game by Newton. Nothing the GOAT wasn't also liable to pull a few times every season though. Can't be at your best every game (just ask 2019 Week 17 Gilmore).

This is shaping up to be Tepper's worst nightmare...

...as well as a dream scenario for Cam.

There was so much doubt & speculation for an extended period of time and then out of the ether comes Bill Belichick --- absolutely perfect for Cam and exactly the sort of rigid "system" he needs to be a part of, I have serious doubts it would have worked with any other coach in the league.

This is truly amazing...from out of the ashes the phoenix has risen!

That wasnt it.

Brady needed better weapons. If Sony always ran like today that would have made a huge difference last year. I know that BB is the GOAT HC and that this Pats team would be prepared and disciplined like always.

You mean if Brady just had Byrd last year it would have been a different season?

Holy sh*t, Kamara is really good.

No it wasn’t a great game but he didn’t need to be great. He will next week though. That game will tell us where the team is at.

Glad to see he had a positive attitude even when he was obviously frustrated. No pouting under the towel and said the right things. What a refreshing change from the crap we saw last season. That was pathetic. So much easier to like what we are seeing this year so far.

Through 3 games, Newton has done better than almost anyone thought he would. That being said, he just has to stop throwing into triple coverage, and stop trying to force to ball to Edelman.

Yes, we need another receiver, but Harry and Byrd have been playing well. Most of us will have the nightmare of throw to Edelman in triple coverage, with Harry wide open and in the line of sight of looking toward Edelman.

There was a lot of good in almost all units. It was awesome seeing guys like Onwenu, Williams, Taylor, Wise (and even Calhoun) step up. I think calhoun was a starter.

Thuney was Thuney, our best, and best paid, player on offense.

Our secondary and Winovich just did what was expected.

Great effort by everyone, super happy so far on how the team has been playing as a whole.
Defense has had some issues here and there but I’m confident that they will turn things around and hit the same stride they hit last year eventually.
We have bunch of key pieces missing on defense so it’s understandable.
I hope they stay with the running game, I loved what I’ve seen by Taylor, Rex and Sony.
Rex has been fantastic with the screen game, reminds me a bit of the Faulk days.
Newton has been growing up as a leader here too, glad to see him taking less risks when running, he understand this team needs him to stay healthy if we want to make it to the playoffs.

undersstandable if so, I could be remembering wrong

Great solid win against a good young team. Next week should tell us alot about our chances for a 7th trophy.

I haven’t seen a single indication that Cam is out there trying to carry the team on his back or being selfish. Who have you been watching?

Apologies for being misconstrued via the written word.

I don't think Cam at this moment in time thinks he's carrying the team on his back (or being selfish). It has been suggested on others threads that in Carolina, that Cam had to carry the team (which I would agree with to some extent).

Cam had two good games this year where the team won one and came close to winning the other. This game, Cam didn't have an outstanding game, but they still won.

My point being that although the QB is a very important position with a football, it's just that, one position of many that need to work together to win consistantly.

Added with all the talk about Cam's contract and seems some people want him locked in now, my added point is that if the Pat's have a winning season and Cam plays a part in it, he should expect to be compensated accordingly by the person who he succeeded and understand that he is on a team that may have a very good chance of going to another SB and be a part of it. I haven't been a pats fan long, and correct me if I'm wrong, but they don't generally put themselves in the position where Chicago is at now with QB salaries vs performance over the long run.

Love the contrast between BB and Cam at the press conferences. Highly entertaining. I wonder if at some point, BB wears one of Cam's hats. Or Cam comes out in a worn out t shirt.
