that said, the heat are on a roll and the celts are obliging it.....the biggest thing in this series is that they can't hide walker on the defensive end.........once the heat put nunn on the bench, there's nobody he can guard.

Good player for sure. I like Herro a lot as a scorer but I'm far from convinced about the rest of his game. He is only a rookie though so we'll have a better idea of his true potential over the next two seasons.

As for Game 5...very pleased. There was some concern that the Celtics might fold given the locker room drama and incident and going down 1-3. Win game 6 and you have all the momentum. Celtics are not out of this at all. My biggest concerns about this teams mental toughness was asauaged a bit. We've still yet to see them operating to the fullest of their capabilities though. The Heat are a damn good team but the story of the series has been the Celtics playing like **** for sustained periods more than Miami dominating. Even tonight for 50% of the game they weren't playing well but came away with the W. If they can just put together a complete game.......

sure as hell looked like they were w cashing out in the 1st half

the series has still been based on 1 player for the heat .... dragic

with the exception of game 3, he has led the team with plus/minus ... even with 37 points in game 4, Herro was a minus 4

dragic kept game 5 from being a 25-30 pt blowout.

the celts are in control......meaning the outcome has and will be up to them .... they just need to stay angry for 48 minutes and we are in the way to the finals

Exactly what the NBA wanted and they got it. Riley vs Bron and his old team is a HUGE storyline. Bron versus his old team is huge as well. Nobody bu old people give a crap about Lakers/Celtics. It's Lakers vs anyone. Heat are much better and the series was reffed for that outcome. Lakers were going to win no matter what before, but Kobe dying makes it a fait accompli. This series won't even be close but the Kobe storyline will dominate and Rileys connection etc will be talked about ad nauseam.

you're wrong about lakers celtics. that series always does well in the ratings.

Not any more. The NBA can market just about anything it wants. The ratings already aren't doing the greatest but this one will do very good.

The heat routinely exposed the combo of theis and walker on the floor........the heat are made up perfectly to beat the C's

too bad they're also made up perfectly to be curb stomped by the lakers.....my prediction is that caruso will be the undoing of herro.......

Before we start arguing about nothing, I think you're both probably in agreement that the nba didn't care whether it was lakers-heat or lakers-celtics. Both were marketable. Funny as we're talking as if the nba can clearly fix games (hello Tim Donaghy)

What was frustrating is how the Celtics have no reliable 4th quarter offense. I think Marcus Smart doesn't have a place in the final-5 when it's crunch time - he's gritty but he is a major liability on offense which is compounded by how he shoots way too much for a terrible shooter.

Yep, there is bona fide proof that the league can influence series or games with Donaghy, people swear it doesn't happen. That whole league is a storyline driven league even mores than the NFL.
