Well, Gronk is having fun...

Another report saying Brady was pi$$ed about Antonio Brown getting cut...the dude deserved it and he's suspended 8 games because he threatened that woman...not sure i understand Brady here.

Tom Brady Reportedly Held a Beef Against Patriots For Cutting Antonio Brown | FM 96.9 The Game | FOX Sports Radio

Also, Montana came out and said earlier this week that Tom told him that the Pats were not listening to him when they asked him for his advice...

I guess multiple reasons for why Brady wanted to go elsewhere...

Tom Brady REALLY cares about football. If TB thinks that cutting AB cost him a 7th SB ring... he is going to be really pissed.

Tom Brady took AB into his house. It wouldn't be a stretch to say Brady looks at AB as something of a friend. If some woman made false* allegations against a friend of yours, how upset would you be if you friend sent some vaguely threatening texts to the woman?

Tom Brady probably doesn't exactly have a high opinion of the NFL front office justice system:rofl:

*note not commenting on whether allegations of the woman are actually false or not.

Not sure I understand what's so hard to understand...It's been written-about many, many times here...Cutting AB at the behest of Early-Bird Bobby just so attention could be diverted from his own legal issues was a gutless, season-killing move that obviously and justifiably pissed off Brady and was almost certainly the final straw in his relationship with the team.

The Montana quote therefore doesn't surprise me in the slightest...Consider this: During these 20 years, when a Grand Total of...THREE...WRs were drafted who didn't feckin suck, only one of them - Edelman - was signed to a 2nd contract; so Brady has had to constantly train new guys in The Most Complicated Offense in Football...and while continuity at HC, OC & QB has been one of the main reasons for the 6 championships, not having it at the WR position has been one of the reasons why we don't have 4 more...as we deserve.

Apparently, Brady gets "chewed out" practice this week.

How does a Head Coach chew out a player who's won almost as many Super Bowls (6) than all current HC in the NFL combined (8) not including BB?

That's funny stuff.

I don't think Brady was the only one upset in the wake of that. BB's facial expression and the stare down of the reporter pre-game told a good story as well.

You're back! I went by Pats Planet or something like that where it was rumored you went and that board looked like a s*** hole.

It's actually quite tragic they don't have at least 10 given the amount of opportunities they've had which is unheard of. What Franchise with a HC/QB combo gets 19 cracks at the playoffs out of 20 years?:eek::eek:

They've only had 5 road playoff games out those 19.

13 of those resulted in at least a AFCCG birth which they reached 8 straight from 2011-2018. They got to 9 Super Bowls and lost 3 of those.

And the worst part is that they've lost playoff games to really inferior teams.

Winning the SB is ridiculously difficult. The one-and-done nature of the playoffs, the salary cap, maintaining desire, avoiding injuries - everything is stacked against sustained excellence.

I am grateful NE was able to win 6. An incredible number of championships lead by a coach & QB over two decades. Wanting more - of course. Thinking they underachieved by not getting more - overboard.

Ridiculous on so many fronts.

What about #Metoo and Gisselle? You mean to tell me that she was OK with AB? Dude has left a wake of destruction wherever he has been. His character svcks and he is nothing but trouble.

In the era of sexual harassment GODell was not going to let AB play in 2019 even if the Pats didnt let him go. WTF is Brady thinking? The accusations just kept coming.

I agree, but I would have waited to release him until the NFL suspended him...

Brady admitted on the Howard Stern Show that he knew it was his last season in 2019 when the Pats didn't extend his contract prior to the season. So what Joe said saying it was Brady's decision doesn't add up. Pats would've brought him back, but on their terms and I think Tom knew that.

I also don't buy that he would give input then BB does something else. Nobody would put up for that for 20 years.

However, Pats should've waited to see if Goodell was going to suspend Brown so they wouldn't get the blame.

I've always been critical of BB in that while one of the top 2-3 coaches of all time, maybe the best, he tends to wear guys down. I don't automatically believe his approach for dealing with players and setting the tone is the best one. Nor do I automatically believe it isn't the best. To say he couldn't have accomplished the same things without being a bit standoffish and not smiling when anyone but special teams does well just doesn't pass the sniff test for me. Personally o believe without Brady he would have lost the locker room long ago. Like nearly all coaches do eventually.

If we're being honest here, let's play it out truthfully. Tom Brady, who deserves the eternal appreciation of every Patriots can forever, didn't invite Antonio Brown into his home to live because he liked him
and thought he was a nice fella and role model for the kiddies. He did it because he thought that this psychopath and legitimate screwball could further his (Brady's) fortunes, primarily, and the team's fortunes, secondarily. It was selfish hypocrisy at its ultimate level and it was embarrassing and eye-opening. The idiots who equate Kraft's "crime" of getting a hand-dukie with the verbal and, likely, physical, abuse Brown perpetrated on multiple women and children should be ashamed, but they won't be. And neither, evidently, will Tompa Boy.

I enjoyed the sarcasm

Brown is a head case and screw up, but was anything ever proven? I think Brady was just tired of not having a legit #1 target for so long. Yes he had Gronk but he was rarely reliable to be on the field at full health after his first 2 years. After years of having to deal with that and having a bad cast last year it's no wonder the idea of Brown excited him.

We need to remember Brady is the only elite QB without a top WR every year pretty much. That has to grind his gears. Wilson is kind of in the same boat too a bit, but not as bad as Brady. At least the Seahawks invest and hit on getting top talents around him like Metcalf, Lockett who are all reasonably high picks. Brady has had what? 3 picks in the first 2 rounds for WRs his entire career with 2 busting and one made the year right before they plan to move on from him?

They weren’t that far from having only 1 or 2 rings so it all evens out.

Serious question : if « wearing them down » leads to multiple SBs, isn’t that much better than losing and « making players feel at home » ? I’d rather cheer for championships than on-the-field celebrations of a player‘s plaque for sticking around 15 years...

elbow issues that limited his practice time last season

The 'Rona' bringing this to the entire NFL (if there is a) this season. It's gonna be some ugly football.

First year in Tampa is all easily met expectations, high upside weapons, and sweet light hydrogen.

Tom's overall Florida record? 11-10. So the key to his success may have nothing to do with weapons or coaching...maybe it's just acclimatization?
