Then. Now. Forever. Never thought a team in which Adams was the best player was ever going to do anything. I would not have been able to accept the Cowboys offer last year fast enough.Sure, now.
No, but that answer has never changed. If you were a high profile free agent, would you even consider going to da Jete?

Him being the missing piece on an already good team, different story. He'll look fine.

Never underestimate the ineptitude of the Jets’ organization...I'd have to imagine he had an idea this was coming.
While I’d welcome him with open arms, (while trying not to injure him ) I believe he’s going to TEN, BAL or NO.Seattle didn’t trade two first rd picks without Adams already agreeing to an extension, this money will take Seattle out of the Clowney sweepstakes.
Clowney to the Pats on a one year prove it deal would be interesting.
Interesting to see what BB would do with his talent.
I might be biased as to his overall worth since he's never made an impact play against the Patriots in his entire career thus far. We are not counting the pity Pick 6 Stidham gave him last year.Somewhat true, but Adams is the type of rare player who consistently inspires teammates and fans with his nonstop effort.
I'm happy with the trade, but dude is really freakin good.
The 1 year “prove it” deal only makes sense when the player has something to prove. Don’t think Clowney has much to prove. Only way it makes sense is due to the financial uncertainty this year. Though, teams not likely to be spending heavily next year either.Seattle didn’t trade two first rd picks without Adams already agreeing to an extension, this money will take Seattle out of the Clowney sweepstakes.

He actually has a lot to prove. He’s injury prone and disappears more than David Copperfield. He didn’t have a very good year with the Seahawks and wasn’t that great in Houston while having one of the best DE’s in the game on the other side. The 1 year “prove it” deal only makes sense when the player has something to prove. Wonder if he would be interested in a 2 year deal that lets him try again post-COVID. Pats could afford to backload into next year.
