OT: So Jetsy: Jamal Adams Demands a Trade

What's this "thrown under the bus" talk? Gase is a bottom 3 NFL coach and the team's roster is way better than the on field record indicates. To me, that means they suck because of Gase.

Do I want a player who will call out his coach like that while still on the team? Eh, probably not. But that doesn't make the criticism of Gase incorrect, and I feel absolutely zero compulsion to defend Gase like some here are.

I agree that Adams shouldn't have done that but he is completely right. Gase is terrible and I don't know how he keeps getting work. Somehow Gase got labeled some offensive guru QB whisperer because of a season or two with Peyton Manning. Darnold looks to have some talent to work with but could go the way of David Carr if he doesn't get a real coach and real supporting cast ASAP. Aside from that he’s done nothing and now is the defacto GM and alienating his best players.

Not gonna disagree that case sucks but the roster sucks too.

The point isn't whether or not Gaze sucks (he does!), the point is that this player was publicly disloyal to his coach, and I bet that makes the teams that may want to bring him onboard a little bit leery about what they might be getting.

Keep in mind this player isn't aiming for a good deal, he's aiming for a record breaking deal. He might have just cost himself some coin here.

Maybe. But it does seem like that players are now taking the NBA approach of wanting to go to certain markets because of weather and nightlife. Patriots Place is fun and all but its not going to compare to places like Dallas Miami LA etc when you're a single 25 year old. The Pats had Brady and culture now they just have culture and that only gets you so far...
Dallas is a hellhole. Not sure why anyone would want to live there. And that's WITHOUT the ludicrous summers.

Huge ransom for Adams.

Oh look, the Jets rebuilding for the future.

Where have I heard this before?

Return on paper looks great for the Jets. Not that it matters when their management has the intelligence of a piece of cardboard and will ultimately squander it.

I have never heard of a player having anything negative to say about Pete Carroll so maybe Adams will shut up and play.

Provided the Seahawks give him a record breaking contract.

That's a Bill O'brien type trade...so pathetic it makes no sense.

Good haul for a player who wanted out but it’s hard to see them drafting a player of Adams caliber with picks that will probably be in the mid 20’s.

He’s not worth that much. Good for the Jets I guess. And good for us

Unless we’re talking Ed Reed in his prime id have a hard time trading 2 first rounders for a safety.

Lived there for 3-1/2 years from 1992-95, just when the Cowboys started winning again...talk about obnoxious...and the summers there can indeed be Insane with the heat...a month's worth of 100+ temps each year it seemed...

Adams played this perfectly. Not getting traded? Just call out your coach and you'll be instantly traded.

Gase is a POS-wannabe tough guy who acts as if he has a ton of accomplishments. Manning should be getting residual checks from him and Mike McCoy.

The guy from Jacksonville who's name I'm not spelling should do this. He already called out the Owner's son but went unnoticed by most media.

If that had a good decision maker, the NYJ could benefit here. But I am confident they’ll squander their chances.

Especially one that is not particularly sound in coverage. Talk about overpaying.. and yet people keep somehow bring up John Schneider as some kind of great GM. He nailed two drafts almost 10 years ago and then squandered a dynastic backbone with trades like this or for Harvin.

Two 1sts and a 3rd for a strong safety? Adams is a great player, arguably the best SS in the game. But to me that's an insane trade by the Seahawks.
