The man must sleep it off a few hours every day too...
Using your logic, Bledsoe would have remained the starter and we would have never had Brady as the best QB ever. Also,Bill doesn’t give one single crap about what you did last year or in college
I thought it was because of his eye condition? I guess both could be trueThe sunglasses are because he owns a bunch of sunglass huts in the area, he talked about it a few years ago on the show. As for who will start, I’m thinking it’s going to be Stidham. Bill loves competition, and I think he felt the kid needed competition to push him a bit and not get comfortable. As for Cam, worst case scenario, he comes in and shows what he can do in preseason and proves to other teams he is recovered from injury and another team picks him up.
Fair. However, I’m personally judging Cam from 2018-present; his game improved under the tutelage of Norv Turner. Norv played to Cam’s strengths, which is getting the ball out quickly with short/intermediate throws. Before his injury against PIT, Cam was top 5-10 in most metrics that matter; even above guys like Brady, Wilson, Rodgers, Brees etc. Hell, he won an MVP in 2015 BEFORE Norv arrived. Many folks don’t realize that he ran a similar system to the Erhardt-Perkins that’s ran here, so he’ll have a grasp of many of our concepts. I trust Josh, Bill & Ernie to maximize Cam’s talent & efficiency. With this OL (assuming health), stable of backs & skill position players, I believe Cam will thrive. I feel like once CMC became comfortable in CAR’s system in his second season (2018), Cam began to display peak efficiency as a QB. Not saying that Sweet Feet is CMC (because he simply is not), but their skill sets are pretty similar as far as quick feet, receiving skills, pass protection, being exactly where they need to be & quick check downs. Where Cam needs to improve the most, is with his touch on some of his passes; particularly intermediate/deep throws. Many times, they’re either too hard, high or low. This is where the system (Bill & Josh) come in.We don’t need to act like Cam is the second coming of Aaron Rodgers. The guy is an average QB he has been good 1.5 years in his career.
we talk about a guy who completed 60% of his passes only twice in his entire career. The year he was MVP, he only had a QBR of 67 that’s like bad season for Brady in comparison. I personnaly believe that Cam is not a top 10 QB in this league.
the guy made a difference running the football . Can he still do it ? I don’t know.
don’t get me wrong, I think Cam is bettter than Stidham, just based on the fact that he has experience. That being said, there is a lot of unknowns on both side. We go in the extremes in both camps. The Cam camp say that he will be at MVP level this year and that Stidham can’t play and the Stidham camp say that he is the second coming of Brady and that Cam is washed up. The truth is in the middle.
i think there will be a QB competition in camp and I think Stidham will make it closer than what we think because I believe he is a competitor, he wants to show Bill he can play and the Cam signing will only motivate him even more.
The only nightmare scenario is if Cam plays like crap and Stidham can’t beat him out. Otherwise whatever happens will be good for the patriots one way or the other.

You are being hoodwinked by Newton throwing a much, much higher proportion of dump offs to mccaffrey that mcc made plays out of. The change in numbers was the end not the qb.Fair.
