Cam and Harry

So does anyone else wonder if the 43 second Cam/Harry passing film edited out dropped passes and overthrows?

You have to wonder - I agree.

But it does look like Harry catches the ball well and he is big and strong. I think he looks quicker, but he also does not look real natural to me. It looks like he is learning the skills he never had and now he has to learn which skills he is good at and how they incorporate into his repetoire. He is still moving up the learning curve - let's hope he puts it all together.

Don’t think Harry had that last juke last year.

Bizarre Brady didn’t do this last year.
It was not his job, his job was to be the QB not the coach. That is what he said. He emphasized on everybody doing their job a lot last season.

Harry still doesn't look especially quick.

Also, when Harry was coming out of college, people were comparing him to Dez Bryant, and I can really see that comparison. You watch Dez highlights, and there was a lot of contested catches. But oddly enough, despite neither having blazing speed, both were used as return men, and also running the ball. We saw how Harry was good at running the ball last year. Harry is dangerous once he has the ball in his hands. He can work on the other issues he may have.

Harry is 6'3" 225 pounds... he's plenty quick for his size. He needs to stay healthy.

It's funny, coming out of college, he was listed as 6'3" 225, then at the combine he was 6'2", yet on the Pat's roster, he's listed at 6'4". Seeing him next to Cam, who's 6'5", I'd say Harry is at least 6'3", maybe 6'4". Either way, I think he's going to have a breakout year.

Exactly, if you watch the video, he slows down after he makes his break the route. Instead of continuing to run at full speed he slows down, each and every time, which will give the DB time to recover.

I don’t. It’s hard for a professional QB to overthrow or under throw someone without pressure, unless they’re 3rd QB or something. I think they’re way more accurate than you think especially throwing without equipment on.

Thanks for your opinion.

Brady is gone who cares?

Folks, there's no need to criticize Brady relentlessly.

He does not look quick because he isn't quick. We didn't sign him for speed, remember? And his breaks are horrible. He has no explosion and no moves to get open. When you watch film of AB you see the quickness, the explosion, the sharp routes. This guy has none of that. High school players have better foot work than him. Let's hope Newton has some good jump balls for him.

That is how folks are trying to work out all their anger because the GOAT is gone when Bill could have signed him. I don't blame them as now we are stuck with a barrel of complete junk at the QB position while Brady signed on to a power house offensive team.

Bill didn’t want to and quite frankly after the way he looked last year and his attitude I don’t blame him.

Still sad that Brady is gone, but it will be fun to see the offense rebooted and take on a new identity. Brady's experience in some ways became a detriment to younger WRs, because he expected them to understand football the same way he does after 20 years which is just unrealistic. He really didn't trust or want to spend a lot of time with younger WRs, he likes his veterans. I wonder how much that has played into us not being able to develop any good WRs outside of Edelman?

Going to be more turnovers this year, but should be some exciting plays as well. Cam will throw jump balls to Harry and give him a chance to make plays, it was extremely rare for Brady to ever really throw a 50/50 ball and give his player a chance to make a play outside of Gronk

Newton also provides the ability to extend a broken play and either run or make a big play downfield.. So it will be exciting to see that element added to our offense (not sure if it will outweigh the frustration of turnovers, but will still be exciting to watch when it works in our favor!)

Another nice thing, our defense seems to struggle with mobile QBs, so now they'll be able to play against Cam in practice to better prepare them for opponents. I'm sure we'll incorporate some QB options, wildcat and RPO as well

I'm really excited about this year, it will be entertaining to see what this new team looks like post-Brady

It can only help the team and offense to spend time with the WRs. pretty much every QB in the league does this with their WRs, even the rookies that don't have a 20 year football IQ that processes information like a computer

He was never drafted to be anything like Antonio Brown.. they are completely different types of WR/athlete..

thats like saying an H3 Hummer doesn't look as quick as a Ferrari
