Tom Brady "Football's Fun again"

Poor by Brady's standards that he set with his GOAT career. For Cam, it would be a career season for him (his second best) if can get anywhere close to Brady's numbers and record.

Health played a part in Brady’s 2019 season. I give him credit for gutting it out but there’s no question the elbow injury affected his accuracy in the 2nd half of the season.

If Cam performs like Tom did his last 9 games here he'll get run out of town and Stid Vicious should take over ASAP
So when the Kid takes over, with the very same WRs that Newton & Brady had, and their "production" with him remains the same as with the other QBs, then what?

Then expect us to be in the QB and WR market during next years FA and the draft with much more cap room.

Only one way to find out.

What I do know is sticking with status quo is not an option.

Just watched the Dolphins one again. I can excuse Brady’s pick 6 to the Titans he wanted to make something happen but the one to Rowe was absolutely horrendous. It’s like Nathan Peterman was wearing Brady’s jersey there. Noodle-armed that thing. Embarrassing.
"Noodle-arming" the throw had nothing whatsoever to do with the interception...It was, simply put, a terrible decision, one that if Mahomes or Wilson had themselves made would've produced the same result.
Brady's arm strength or lack thereof is less of a problem for him right now than is his decision-making, such as not QB-sneaking on 1st/goal from the 1 vs the Titties...

Nobody said Cam is our savior as I said above. It's definitely not an opinion that Brady had a poor season last year, it's fact.

It is.

Brady and the Patriots offense put together a masterpiece in Week 11 against the Bills in 2007, scoring touchdowns on their first seven (!) drives of the contest in Buffalo. The future Hall of Fame quarterback finished the night with a borderline laughable stat line: 31-of-39 for 373 yards with five touchdowns, four of which to Randy Moss. TB12 recalled the stellar performance in an episode of Apple TV+’s “Greatness Code.”
Tom Brady said:
“I almost giggle every time I think about that game,” Brady said, as transcribed by Boston.com. “Because ever since that game, I’m still trying to get back to that point. Because in so many ways, for me, it was a perfect night.”

Tom Brady Says ‘Football's Fun Again' With Buccaneers

Sounds like Brady taking a dig against Belichick.....or maybe he isn't,maybe hes just saying that because Gronk is back at his disposal......no one knows but it seemed to me well before this that Tom has not been a happy camper in New England for at least last season if not a few years before.

I'm so happy that TFB is having fun. Wait until he starts getting picked off because his receivers are in the wrong place at the wrong time. Brady is now playing for a team that won't come close to being ready for each week's opponent.

He's our hero and all that, but do we really have to endure every utterance of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' quarterback?

You do realize that Brady's 2019 numbers and record would be Cam's second best season of his entire career?
He claims Brady was TERRIBLE last year though. What a stooge.

It was both. The ball just floated and Edelman didn’t have a chance but it was easy pickings for Rowe. I think the team just didn’t take the Dolphins that seriously and teams usually lose when that happens and the other team has absolutely nothing to lose.

Brady was trash last year. Notably so in the last 9 games of the season. Fact not opinion.

I wouldn't go so far as to say he was trash in 2019. The OL was a mess and the loss of FB Develin was a huge one. Gronk's retirement was a big blow. If Brady was playing behind the 2014 OL, he'd have had a much better year.

Brady was a half-beat slow last year. I watched the highlights of the week 5 win at Washington that evolved into a rout. It was the best game, production-wise, for the TEs. Brady was not playing at a level we are used to:

I went to that game. They were on another level, to use a cliche. It was unbelievable to see first hand. It was as if Buffalo was a HS team. Buffalo couldn't do anything and the Pats could do nothing wrong. The Buffalo fans were leaving in droves at halftime, and we were asking them if they wanted us to get the lights on the way out. Good times.

Tom Brady, in perhaps his worst season as a starter, threw for 4057 yards last year. If Cam Newtown has than many yards it will mark a career high.

Cam threw for 4051 his rookie year. While I agree that he's certainly not Tom Brady, he's not had the level of coaching that he's about to have.

And... Cam Newton has three times exceeded 700 yards rushing. Tom Brady has exceeded 100 yards rushing three times. The point? They are not the same athlete, not by a long shot. I think we should not be comparing Cam to Tom Brady. I think we should compare Cam to Cam Newton, and his body of work that he's compiled over his career.

Agreed. He is going to have a quick does of reality. And it isn’t gonna be good. Super G drove this train and she will be the one to blame.

But yet that one in the snow 59-0 at Gillette is the one I will always remember. Far higher degree of difficulty considering the weather.

LOL. No kidding. This season is going to be a big dose of reality for some Pats fans.

Cam or Stid will not be running Brady’s offense.

Thank goodness. We saw Brady’s offense in the second half of last year and it was ugly.
