He gave lots of enjoyment to Patriot's fans ... the heart of a lion.

Mister Patriot. He should be our WRs coach.

Would have been 7 Super Bowl victories if he had played in 1996.

Troy was the gunner that year on special teams. He would have stopped Desmond Howard before he turned on the jets. You could see Troy's replacement, Hasan Graham, whiff on Howard before Howard really took off. Troy would not have whiffed.

The Patriots had grabbed momentum of the game by that point. Keith Byars and Curtis Martin were chugging away. Patriots were down 27-21 mid 3rd quarter and had come back from a 13 point halftime deficit.

Howard's run broke the team's back.

Completely agree with the huge drop=off from Troy Brown to Hasan Graham...but from where are you getting the number 7?

Edit: Never mind, you mean the franchise, not Troy himself, would have 7 banners...sorry. Yeah, KO coverage was an issue throughout the SB, and that was an under-appreciated part of his game back then...

I also feared, at the time it was announced, that not dressing Troy for SB 42, the final game of his career, was bad karma...Exactly the same as not dressing Kevin Faulk for SB 46...
