OT: Brady “checked out” after Steelers loss in 2018?

I believe the point was rings are a team accomplishment not a QB accomplishment. Which is a fact.

Dilfer’s ring doesn’t make him better than Marino. Eli’s 2 rings don’t make him better than Mahomes.
6 rings is a different stratosphere especially when the largest comeback in SB history was achieved not once but twice.

If we're being honest then the Patriots 6-3 record in Super Bowls in the Brady era could easily be flipped to 3-6 or worse with Brady doing absolutely nothing different in those games. Shows you that it really is a team sport and wins really are a team accomplishment first. Always was.

When evaluating a QB's greatness, rings are a huge factor. They are not the only one, but they are a big one.

Furthermore, they are an even bigger factor when one evaluates the amount towards which the QB contributed to the ring.

You may want to review the play by play for those games to see who caused the comeback to become necessary and who made it possible.

Not sure what to tell you. Some people see the wild flowers and others see the deer shyt.

Sure but rings are still a team accomplishment only and it’s been proven lots of times. A QB could play like crap in a SB and still get a ring. Fivehead in 2015. Or play one of the greatest SB games at the position that we will ever see and lose. See Brady, LII.

It wasn't just Brady who helped cause those early deficits...

News Flash: QB play is meaningless. Brady's accomplishments are meaningless.

The Sphincter Bulgarias numero uno has spoken.

I'm so sick of the Trent Dilfer argument. That's an outlier. The D for the Ravens that year was bonkers. It was something like seven straight games that they didn't allow an offensive TD, right? Any QB in history could have shown up, and as long as they weren't turning the ball over, would have a SB ring. Crap, Sanchez made it to two AFCCGs behind great defenses.

Brady, OTOH, dragged the then statistically worst defense of all-time to a SB and was a Manningham catch away from winning it? Sure it's a team sport, but let's not start getting ridiculous with that premise in making it seem like anyone can do what he's done. There's a reason why he is regarded as the greatest after all.

Sounds like you’re agreeing that wins and championships are a team accomplishment. You’re right, they are a team accomplishment not a QB-only accomplishment.

I don’t think anyone would say anybody can do what Brady did. But Brady had help as did any great QB that every player this game.

Either this is a shtick or you're not very bright.

Feels like this thread is still going because a select fews willpower in trying to downplaying bradys impact on this franchise.

Sincerely.... why? Is it a coping mechanism?

Bradyites are too funny. So easy to trigger too!

I don’t think anyone is doing that, but I’m certainly seeing a lot of what seems like cheering for this team to crash and burn without Brady here and saying Bill is somehow a subpar coach going back 3 decades as “evidence”. Kinda laughable if you ask me.

When some posters of lesser intelligence have a take on something and someone questions their take they dig in their heels instead of admitting it was a poor take. By the time overwhelming evidence is presented against their crappy take they have dug themselves so deep they won't turn back and just decide to turn to hyperbole and nonsensical reasoning. They then resort to "gotcha" nonsense to make themselves feel better about looking foolish.
