Competition at the QB position is a good thing.

I think that he is damaged goods at this point and I am not thrilled with the signing, but it kinda is low risk... so whatever. Hopefully he has something left.

1 year deal indicates they simply think that Newton > Hoyer.

Transitioning to RPO offense or at least integrating more QB runs? Stidham and Newton can both move, not the worst move to teach the young guy how to play as a mobile QB.

Wow, hoping he can really help us. Never been a huge fan, until now.

Or they give him the year to prove him self in the system. Low risk high rewards. I dono.

There are two camps, one is the arm chair people who despite everything the Pats do thinks depth is bad. We know what the other camps issue is

I mean he is a former MVP, I know theirs health/character concerns. But that’s why you can get him on a cheap deal. Plus, I hope this lights a fire under Stidhams ass to work even harder. Competition is good.

I'll bet it's a low risk, little money deal if he's cut out of camp.

Cam has played the Ernhardt-Perkins system already, so he will know the offense even if he isn't accurate.

He could be the backup all season or provide competition for Stidham at starter if he has chicken blood running through his veins or rests on his laurels and gets too complacent.

Cam could be as good as a healthy Brissett or Cassel at this age, a game manager.

Cam if healthy is what this team needs. He creates on offense and can be that dynamic factor that allows the WR’s time a pocket passer won’t.

For what they have going on this is probably the best option. Bill also has a habit of getting guys who gave him issues in the past

We will wind up with a 2022 3rd round pick

He's got more than enough talent, with our defense, to get us to double digit wins.
