I think you may have ruined my evening plans as I take a stroll down memory lane. Could offer some things to make it more helpful to me, but now's not the time. This site needs a major tweet to get the word out.
It means I'm going to have to go back and re-tag every play, but I want to add more detail to each of them to get more granular information like this. I'm thinking of adding the time left in the quarter, the pass direction, air yards, and YAC. Could probably build some cool displays of the data with that information. And I was able to find a trove of data that lists that information for every play since 1999, so the first step is to parse that to get a list of what I need.
I wonder how many of those 2nd quarter TDs were after the 2 minute warning.
I'll get around to it, but first I will celebrate and revel in the glory that is your site.I love to hear feedback, so if you have any ideas lemme know
No you aren't...that was the first one I clicked too...I love watching games/highlights from Gillette when the playing surface was still Real Grass (last game on it: 2006 week 10 vs Jesters; last TD pass thrown on it went to Ol' Bug Eyes RIP).Also ... I can't be the only one who scrolled all the way down the list and clicked on the Tom Ashworth one first, right?
I've spent the last few years putting together a website to track the Patriots dynasty. It's titled, creatively, Tracking the Patriots Dynasty | Patriots Dynasty. It's got some cool stuff in it, but the newest project that I've just completed is a list of every Tom Brady TD sorted in a few different ways: Tom Brady's TD Passes | Patriots Dynasty
Let me know what you think, and if you have any ideas for what I could add to the site.
Great work!
Does the project end with 2019 data or continue post-TB12?
This could be the biggest play for the Pats this century.
It took years for most people to acknowledge that Tom Brady was special. Every stupid excuse in the book, and some more just made up for him.
Brady showed me more than enough in 2001 to be convinced.
This play, in a game we had to win, down 13-0 in the second half on the road:
New England got its offense going after Mike Vrabel's 12-yard
interception return of a pass tipped by Brandon Mitchell early in
the third quarter. [On third down at midfield] Fred Coleman went 46 yards on a slant-in -- his
first reception of the season -- to set up Antowain Smith's 4-yard
run.
"The play to Coleman was important," Patten said. "He's the
third or fourth receiver, and for him to make a play like that
really got us going."
His only TD pass from Brady, and that's a shame...If only he had...H-A-D...bought what Bill was selling...the first one i watched was the pass to terry glenn... the guy sitting next to me at that game has the football... glenn flipped it up into the stands. if he tossed it a split second sooner *sigh*
