Figured I would share this tweet from Giardi about Edelman and his mindset this season. It’s been a question of mine for a little while now. Is he still dedicated? Would he rather be in Tampa or something? What’s he thinking? Will he be a leader post-Brady?

I felt confident that he would still be his same old self but this definitely puts the matter mostly to rest for me. Excited to see him play this year.

Julian is the best gift Stidham ever got. That guy will do whatever he can to get Stidham ready for the season and grow throughout it. He's one of the main reasons I'm excited for the season.

Julian has nothing to prove, but I get it.

I don’t want to see Stidum forcing passes to Edelman. He’ll get beat up and start dropping passes.

I want to see him catch no more than 70 passes.

Harry and Sanu need to pick up the slack. Anything from Myers would be great too.

Yep. And I bet he is pissed as all hell that TB not only left, but Gronk came back. That would piss him off royally.

Edelman is more worth to the team in his role as leader and security blanket than a 3rd round draft pick could be.

Julian has an edge indeed when helping Stidham. Not only does he know the offense inside out, but he's a former college QB, so they can speak that language too.

When you watch him at TC, full speed full throttle all the time, it makes sense that he wants to continue his legacy here... then when you watch him during the season when he is banged up and fighting injuries it even becomes more clear who he is..

Some things cannot be taught..

Even if JE would fall off and do nothing more in his career, he’s been so productive in some of the biggest games in League history... Exceptional career. Hope he’s got a few more years in him !

Edelman is the ultimate warrior, one of my top 5 favorite patriot's player ever, maybe my 2nd favorite. Love everything about him, will be very sad when he retires. Great player, clutch player, and great leader.

Edelman is a professional and will act like one on the field and in training. He accepts he has a job and gets paid to do that job so it is his job to excel.

Troy Brown and Julian Edelman.
Maybe the 2 most beloved Patriots of all time?
Hard to argue with. Underdogs, Grit,Toughness, Professionalism,Excellence,Tenacity,Refusing to give up.
And both are 2 of the most everyday kind of people, unassuming, just like you and me off the field.
Been a joy and a privilege to watch both these guys do their respective things.
Winners.

Poor Julian. It is going to be a long season for him.

He will love this season as much as every other season. He loves to play football. He loves the Patriots. He loves the Krafts, he loves Belichick. Julian will ball like he always does.

Jules will be in beast mode this season. Well...he always is, but Jules turned to 11 will be scary.

Omg he is #11. How did I never make that connection before

Julian is a former quarterback who watched Brady prepare for games for years. He knows how it's done and he'll help get the kid off on the right foot.

I got a glimpse of Jules mindset too.....

What if we're 2-5, including 2 straight losses after the bye, and the Billiards are 5-2 heading into their week 8 showdown against us, in Barfalo? And multiple teams are asking about him? If 2-6 boarding the flight home becomes a very distinct possibility, then we're staring at a 4-12 season immediately upon landing...And if all that should happen, then I feel that Edelman deserves to be given a say regarding his future here before the deadline passes...

I hope the deadline arrives in fact after that game, because we'll have a much clearer outlook on Stid's prospects as a future starting QB here depending on how well he handles a road game vs our top divisional rival...If he's showing that he won't lose many games on us, then #11 stays; if he's not, then what's the point in keeping #11?

JE11 is a monster and he'll be ready to go. He'll have lots of drops, but otherwise he'll be stellar.

Tampa Or Bust.

Same goals every season.
