OK, fair enough. I spend a good deal of my professional time with scientists who get attacked for speaking their truth, so am sensitive to this issue. I overreacted then.

I'll stick with the position that the scientific method and the word "guess" are opposites.

In legal circles, there is something called "venue shopping." You seek out the federal judge whose politics make it likely that they will issue an injunction, oversee the trial, etc., so as to produce the outcome you desire. In science, one may follow the same procedure. In every field there are accredited individuals who reject the prevailing paradigm. If you don't like what most of the experts on the subject on saying, go with the guy - or gal - who contradicts them. Of course, such choices are rarely made with the prefrontal cortex but most often with the limbic system.

They certainly are, but our science is limited to our ability to accumulate and interpret relevant data. If we were advanced enough to create exact scientific models in this area, the truth would not need to be "analyzed painstakingly, debated, reviewed, put out for comment." It would be scientific fact. We no longer need to debate whether the earth is flat.

So you're right. Guess is certainly diminishing. But it is not scientific fact either. It's authority's best opinion. If the public can't handle whatever term you want for it, I think it's wrong for scientists to take it further.

You can't pick the judge, only the particular judicial district...hence, that's why it's called "venue shopping" and not "judge shopping."

I only stated this to give background on my experience and not to be boastful.
I have an M.D. and I work for a large pharmaceutical company. My job every day involves reading scientific publications and trying to determine strengths and weaknesses of their methodology.

I will readily admit that the alternative medicine and supplement literature takes a very different approach than mainstream medical literature.

I just want to caution that frequently the data supporting supplements, herbals and or alternative medicine is not held to the same rigor that agencies such as the FDA require for prescription medication.

Tom Brady in my view as a football player is the greatest QB who ever played and I will always be a huge fan of his forever, wherever he plays.

But as far as his TB12 company and Alex Guerrero I am extremely skeptical and to me it seems like a money making marketing company with weak to non existent robust data to support their claims.

Bill Gates is no longer a board member with Microsoft and is concentrating on his philanthropy ventures. Since 2000 he has contributed 36 billion into his foundation. He may not have the correct vaccine for covid - 19, but the debate ends there. Leave Tom Brady alone?

Brady has a Tom Cruise like intensity but his field of knowledge is extremely limited from what I have seen.
