Run from the guy that he has been working with for the past 13 years who has helped made it possible for him to play an elite level into his 40s? Not sure if you read his TB12 book but there is no snake oil there just a holistic approach to diet and training.
Or, you could look at as running from a guy who's previously been involved with fraud.

Do you really know doctors (who graduated from an accredited med school) who said to skip the flu shot and take zinc and elderberry instead?

Let's not give doctors too much credit here.

These guys have like 30% of the country hooked on opioids.

Oh you stubbed your toe? Here take 18 months worth of herion in pill form. Trust me, you'll be fine.

Without bleach it is bs

Next thing you know Tom will be hocking hydroxychloroquine
slanderous. If you know Brady, you will know he does not put anything artificial in his body. Hydroxy is artificial and made in a lab.

The flu shot is very low % in terms of how well it protects you anyway. I believe they literally take a 'guess' each year at what strains to put in it. I'm not sure on that though so don't blast me.

Take a guess? Seriously? You know, people die each year from the flu that didn't need to, because of the anti-science BS industry. Saying stuff like that isn't just an innocent comment, it has impact.

I don't want to get into this, but clicked your first link and in the first sentence "The seasonal influenza (flu) vaccine is designed to protect against the three or four influenza viruses research indicates are MOST LIKELY to spread and cause illness among people during the upcoming flu season.

So the poster should have said educated guess, but it's still a guess. I had read it was either this or last year they guessed incorrectly.

I looked into the product. It has 5 basic ingredients: Vitamin C, Zinc, Larch Tree Extract, Elderberry Powder and Wellmune.

According to my 5 minutes of google research, the first 4 ingredients genuinely help your immune system. The 5th ingredient, Wellmune, also claims to help your immune system though I couldn't find any sort of independent confirmation of that (such as WebMD or drugs.com).

So it's not snake oil. It is a vitamin and mineral supplement, and vitamin and mineral supplements have legit health value. However, like everything else on TB12, you can literally find the same item elsewhere for less than half the cost.

I'll stick to orange juice and 1-a-days, and save myself $500 annunally.
Tom Brady reeks of elderberries!

It took you 5 years but we finally agree on something. I've lived that with a family member, but it wasn't a stubbed toe.

One thing that has come to my attention lately is the amount of different views that come from doctors and scientists, all who seem to be reputable. It makes me question all of science more now than ever.

IOW, science isn't always an exact science.

IOW, science isn't always an exact science.

Science is always exact science. It's the inability of humans to accumulate the correct data and process it that makes what we call science flawed.

It is analyzed painstakingly, debated, reviewed, put out for comment. That's neither a guess nor an educated guess. Both of those terms are disrespectful of the process and support misinformation campaigns.

Yes, science requires constant updating, and incredible discipline and commitment. It is ever improving. Questioning is a good thing, as long as its intent is on improvement.

Supporting that effort is the mark of an educated, conscientious citizen and patriot. Broadly criticizing and thus undermining science is the opposite. People act like they are somehow personally targeted every time the scientific method moves the ball down the field and thus updates a hypothesis.

My response: that's fine if you want to criticize science in general, but you don't get to cherry pick. If you want to remove science as the core approach to which policy decisions are made, then you must give up everything in your life that resulted from the scientific method. All technology, all forms of transportation other than walking, all comfortable clothing, most of the food you eat, every form of entertainment that isn't in person, etc. The scientific method is what created all of that. And all of it was impossible at one point until someone updated a hypothesis and ran some new experiments.

I quoted your link. We are close to the same side of this discussion, but where I have a problem with the take from people whom I mostly agree with is they want to censor the truth to support their position for the public good.

This Year's Flu Shot Doesn't Match What's Circulating. Here's What That Means. | Live Science

They have "guessed" incorrectly. How is saying the truth being disrespectful?

I use the term "an exact science" in my job as science is a precise certainty.

I did not say people shouldn't take it or that it's a waste of time to produce it. Don't presume garbage. I take it each year, but that doesn't mean it's some golden cloak of protection. It is a guess.

Then why have we heard opposite views from credible scientists? Isn't the "exact science" there for both of them?

Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge math and science fan and our baby boy is a scientist, but something must be at play.

But still, we can't let a few bad apples spoil the barrel

Been taking C, D and Zinc since this thing started.
