This is hilarious.

And of course trade that pick for a collection of other non first round picks.
That first round pick next year with T Law is worth at least 6 fourth round picks from 2023 and beyond

Dude I love it. So if we hire 10 black GMs can we move up to the number 1 pick?

Half joking but Belichick LOVES comp 3rd rounders. Apparently losing a minority assistant coach to HC would yield a 3rd. Look for BB to perfect a revolving coordinator door system and us getting a free 3rd rounder like.. every other year.

The Teams that fire their HC and or GMs are usually picking at the top of the draft anyways.

so this won’t really be a that much of an incentive.

plus it’s a horrible idea.

It would be funny to watch BB hire a new black GM every year and move up 6 spots.
BB is the GM. Maybe if he identified as black for a year they could meet in the middle and give us 3 spots.

Ok sorry I had to say it I don't want to go down the whole identity thing do your thing and let live

whoever voted yes should be banned from the forum

Someone should photoshop Bill in blackface & an afro...

But a failed one.

I understand what you're saying and for the most part you're right but I've seen too much stupid shyt in my lifetime that I support doing something. The Rooney rule was, imo, a good idea but unfortunately has become a joke. Maybe some other ideas would work better but ultimately I support getting our brothers in arms a fair chance at something that a lot of us take for granted.

Our new GM waiting to be picked up ...

Flash forward to Belichick after getting that better draft pick:

It's a problem when in over their head young inexperienced QB coaches like Zac Taylor, Freddie Kitchens, Kliff Kingsbury keep getting hired as HC and completely skip the coordinator step in their career. Prime example of how the most competent candidates are not the ones being hired.

It needs to be more than a bs thing to make headlines and pretend it is meaningful.
If the conclusion is that while the % of minority coaches is consistent with the minority population but that is unacceptable because of the level of minority players then the answer is developing minority players into coaches and bringing them up the ladder like all other coaches. Quotas stink, always have, always will.

The idea of this actually makes me sad, especially (as DropKick Flutie stated above) since I feel like it could put well qualified candidates of color under a cloud of undeserved suspicions.

Early in my career I worked with a great person who used to tell me “there’s no need to pole vault over an anthill.” Someone needs to say something to that effect to whomever may be paving a road to hell with their good intentions.

Belichick is going to hire a couple black Muslim transgender’s with a limp and lisp as GM and head coach so that we end up with Trevor Lawrence.

Kraft will then promote Belichick to Senior GM and Senior Head Coach.

Yo bud this is the Patriots fan message board...I think you accidentally typed your porn search in this thread. It's ok, we all make mistakes.

This is incredibly stupid in so many ways.

For one thing, it punishes teams who don't have an opening.

Affirmative action shenanigans should not be structured in any way (like this) that affects the product on the field. If they're going to do idiotic things like this they should just go whole hog and start giving teams woke points that teams can redeem for real points in games.

There's anti-discrimination laws and diversity quotas everywhere, so you couldn't hire an all-white workforce even if you tried. You wouldn't get far, beyond a handful of hires. Diversity is such a "strength" that you have to be forced by law to do your part. That should say a lot about the position you hold. Interestingly, it's also the same position of the majority of politicians, academia, and major corporations. Some trustworthy company you're in. Nothing short of them taking a white citizen's job and assets, and handing them over to a non-white, will be satisfactory in solving this "problem" you clowns believe exists.

"Muh oppression" or "we need more diversity" is such an illegitimate narrative. It's used to browbeat white citizens in every single white country, regardless of its history. That right there should tell someone everything they need to know about this BS. It's nothing but a means to screw over and shame white people no matter where they are. Not a single corner of this Earth is permitted to be white. It must be targeted with "diversity".

I think you accidentally typed in the wrong forum, this isn't the one with storm in the title.

Kitchens and Taylor both spent time as NFL OCs before becoming head coaches. Kingsbury spent multiple years as an NCAA OC and 6 years as a head coach.

They out of their minds if they vote this in. I believe people should get jobs based on qualifications, not incentives. I do recognize that people of color have a difficult time being considered for specific tasks, and I am deeply sorry that this situation prevails. But to offer draft picks to fill a position is a quota-based program that could be one more thing to destroy the NFL. The problem is that owners are white, wealthy older men that are bigoted, and they stand together as one. They will put minorities on their team to make them money and have a successful team but not in the front office to run their business.

Racism is rampant in the U.S., and it has to stop.

That's all I have to say about this subject.
