I think it was mostly just because he was the guy who was clearly replacing Gronk as the new top TE in the league and he let people know it.

Yeah on the list of players I have football hatred for, I'm not sure Kelce cracks the top 25 even.

No - I’ve never fully embraced the hate like a lot of people, and I hate plenty of opponents. The guy has never said a single thing disrespectful about the Patriots, praises Gronk, and frankly doesn’t seem like a terrible guy off the field. In fact I started a thread last season asking why everyone hated him, and it turns out there isn’t a lot of substance behind it. If you think he’s overrated due to lack of blocking, I agree, but don’t blame him for being overrated. I sure would like to have him on the team, though...guy is a problem for defenses.

He was a whiner about losing year after year to NE. But, unlike MJ wanting to beat the Pistons, he did stuff like this (weddings) instead of getting better.

Wish SF would have beaten them. Hopefully the cap will end KC before they get going.

I don't hate Kelce. He is just a soft TE.

He's not Tyreek Hill, Ben Roethlisberger, or Frank Clark, so it could be a whole lot worse.

He's a bit of a whinny hot head. We like guys like Gronk that will just throw you out of the club if he has a problem with you, not whine like a baby.

He's no Gronk, but I like him more than any other player on that team.

From a neutral standpoint, you could easily argue both Kelce and Gronk are major douchebags.
