The key will be Stidham's progress in his second year..

Can the OL jell to protect him and open holes for the run game? Stay healthy...

Defense should be the strength of this team.

Agree with posters that it's going to be a fun year to see what they do without Brady....

Defense, ball control, minimize opponents touches, low scoring close games= 10-11 wins. Afce champs again....looking through these corona glasses....

People ignorantly proclaiming 8-8 or less, are not taking ALL 3 phases of the game into account. They’re only focused on the “Perceived lack of talent” on offense. While it’s not all about talent, there is in fact talent on the team that hasn’t fully blossomed yet. Have you forgotten that BB is still our football coach?

He will accentuate Studarm’s strengths, run the heck out of the football, play situationally great D, manufacture a top 5-8 ST; all while playing Jedi-mind tricks on opponents (especially AFCE opponents). We are the most well-coached team in football. 9-7 is the floor for this team. Idc what anybody (including Vegas) says; BB alone is worth at least 3 wins per season.

And people saying we are winning the division and BB will get us 10 wins which is basically what you are saying are forgetting the second half the season last year, not only when it comes to the offense but more importantly the defense.

I hope your floor is right but I can't roll with it. The defense will be exhausted and it's going to be hard. At least the AFC East QBs are young and BB should make them pay but 9 wins is alot.

The schedule is tough but I think the Bills might be tougher as far as opponents go. Only difference between us and them is we play Ravens and Texans and they play Titans and Steelers. With no fans the brutal road games @ SEA and @ KC won’t be anywhere near as daunting.

Steelers will be a much better team than they were last year and I think they can take back the AFC North. We all know what the Titans did to us and to the Ravens. I’m also not convinced the Ravens will repeat their dominance last year.

The division leaders should do some damage to our record for sure. I'm not sold on the Bills since Allen sucks, but the rest of the roster is so good I can't see how they don't at the very least split with us. I could see an upset vs SEA even though I would never bet a dime on it, but KC will beat us with their hands tied. The thing some people are counting on are the 'automatic' wins we used to have. Those are gone. You can't count on them so 9-7 would be great imo. It would maybe get us into the playoffs and maybe BB a COY.

I think 4-2 is still doable in this division. Getting to 9 wins then would be 5 wins out of Seahawks, Ravens, 49ers, Texans, Broncos, Raiders, Chiefs, Cardinals, Chargers, Rams. That’s in reach.

I do think the Bills will thump us in Buffalo but we will return the favor in Foxboro. A split vs Miami isn’t unreasonable. The Jets are still pretty bad so a sweep there is doable. I think with Brady gone voters might be more inclined to give a Bill a serious look for COY awards - yeah 9-7 and a WC or better would do it.

Like I said with no fans that completely changes how some of these road games look and also teams coming to Foxboro. Tough to predict anything with a lot of confidence.

Go back to 2001 for the outline, strong special teams, solid defense, a strong rushing game ( don't under estimate the loss of Andrews last year) and a run heavy scheme. That year was 52-48 rush-pass versus 54-46 pass-rush in recent years and Brady only averaged 200 yards passing, including the playoffs with only 134 net yds in the Super Bowl (53 on the last drive)(145-11 sacked)

Sounds good in theory but we'll see how it plays out. I actually don't think they'll play that way on O but we'll see what happens.

BB will put the best defense that he can muster on the field so that'll lead to a few wins alone. He seemingly has confidence in "Stid the Kid" so that could mean an above average QB. And he's building a team for a powerful, clock chewing run game.

Darnit will see ghosts, Allen will blunder and Tua will get a taste of BB's new high-speed GTS front seven.

They're winning the division until they don't.
