Mortensen Finally Admits Rush to Publish Deflategate Story

I get that he was used by the NFL and I can completely forgive him for that. What I can never forgive is that after that was clear, he did not recant, take any responsibility or even say he was used. This is doubly sicking because his twitter bio talks up his christian faith. He is a hypocrite and I find that sickening.
Fake Christians do not outnumber real ones in this country...but they completely dominate media and politics.

When King brought up Deflategate towards the end of the discussion, Mortensen admitted he should have corrected his erroneous report about 11 of 12 Patriots footballs being two PSI below the league limit. According to Mortensen, two league sources shared the information with him: one gave him the incorrect PSI figures and the other contact told him to stick with the language “significantly under inflated.” In the past, Mortensen says he would have more carefully vetted the story. But in the rush to crucify the Patriots again for mythical cheating, he went ahead with the report, despite still having some questions. In Tomase-esque fashion.

Fixed.

One source was Mike K. and the other was Mr. Kensil.

I want the draft picks back...the Feds need to indict the Goon...use the quisling Mortensen as key prosecution witness

Not a lawyer but seems that Mort never implicated Brady directly and it would be challenging to convince a judge or jury to say Mort's report directly influenced the NFL's investigation into the NEP and TB12 as they could cite Kravitz as reporting led to it.

I don't believe a word I said but legally that seemingly would be their argument.
This is pretty much the issue.

1. he was fed the information so he can always say “I thought it was correct”

2. he never implicated Brady. There was a big argument that they were more interested in nailing Kraft or Belichick.

It sucks but a good lawyer is going to tell Brady that it isn’t worth relitigating this 5 years later. If he loses then a lot of people will hold it against him

I would retort an even BETTER lawyer would file a string of RICO violations against NFL Offices and Roger Stokoe Goodell and compile a list of witnesses that INCLUDES Tom Brady.

I wish him well with his fight against cancer. But when it comes to how he 'reported' this story, he is still a douche.
The problem is not the mistake he made, Its refusing to correct it or clear the air after repeated attempts by people to bring it to light.

So Mortensen finally admitted he is the very definition of "very fake news"...typical media dirt bag...in Shakespeare's Henry VI appears the line "the first thing, let's kill all the lawyers"....I can think of a very FAKE profession with which to replace the word "lawyers"....

Also F John Tomase forever

.

We have a name for this now--FAKE NEWS!

:haha:

I read somewhere that they felt the BS witch hunt that was Deflategate to will not age well.
It may have even been a BSPN article.

Just a bunch of entitled trustfund babies that mailed it in during science classes.
They then had to double down on their stupidity and hire Wells/Exponent, shills for corporations like big tobacco and major car manufacturers, asbestos issues....but we all know that.

Found it:
What really happened during Deflategate? Five years later, the NFL's 'scandal' aged poorly

Stupidest thing the NFL has ever done, bounty gate was stupid also. All under Roger Stokoes watch. Dumb azz

I hope Roger Goodell dies from Coronavirus so there’s at least some silver lining.
