Is this season really going to happen?

I think so, yeah. Judging by how normalized the pandemic seems to have become and how well healthy people under 40 seem to handle it.

I highly doubt we'll have fans in the stands. If a player get Covid, maybe they'll be forced to sit out for a set period of time (like the concussion protocol). It'll be messy, but it'll be better than nothing.

The Patriots have 5 games in prime time at the moment:
  • Week 2, SNF, Seahawks
  • Week 9, MNF, JEST
  • Week 10, SNF, Ratbirds
  • Week 14, Thursday, Rams
  • Week 16, MNF, Bills
Of those, only the Ratbirds game is eligible for flexing out.

I am so happy the Thursday nighter is in week 14. I'll be able to watch on Amazon without needing NFL Network. Might not even get red zone or NFLN this season.....just need to figure out pre-season (maybe the all access?).

I predict 0-0 season.

I doubt any Patriots game was going to be on NFL Network anyways.

Sunday, Sept. 13 Miami Dolphins 1:00 p.m. ET WBZ CBS - Win
Sunday, Sept. 20 at Seattle Seahawks 8:20 p.m. ET NBC Boston NBC - Loss
Sunday, Sept. 27 Las Vegas Raiders 1:00 p.m. ET WBZ CBS - Win
Sunday, Oct. 4 at Kansas City Chiefs 4:25 p.m. ET WBZ CBS - Loss
Sunday, Oct. 11 Denver Broncos 1:00 p.m. ET WBZ CBS* - Win
Sunday, Oct. 18 BYE WEEK

That is my most optimistic projection for where we are by the Bye week. After that all bets are off.

Pimpy136 you'd be so worried and concerned if they win 10 games that I may even be worried and concerned for your well being...

102 Patty you might be the biggest homer on this board. You can pat yourself on the back for that.

Opponents in second week of season share bye weeks - ProFootballTalk

This in addition to every team playing home once and away once in weeks 3 and 4, with no divisional matchups those two weeks.

So one option is to delay the season 3 weeks, playing the week 1 games, moving week 2 games to the bye weeks, skip 3 and 4, and week 5 becomes the new week 2.

I predict 0-0 season.
There’s really no logic in making that prediction. And it really provides nothing useful to the conversation, either.

At this point you’re just being an assh*le.

There's probably more logic in making a "no games" prediction in the middle of a pandemic than making your 9-7 or 10-6 one. End of the day, both your predictions and mine are the same, guesses formed on opinions. Neither one is necessarily useful, but at least mine is more interesting.

You getting triggered over the prospect of no games being played, however, is amusing.

I hope we don't have some perennial loser like Suh cough in someone's face.

8-8 at best, anyone wanting more are dreaming

Two SNF games?

Damn. So the dwindling of our prime time games begins.

I absolutely hate prime time games. The more 1 and 4 pm games the better. Night games suck, I can never go to them and I hate staying up late to watch them.
