Trade back and draft that kicker with the 6% tattoo because he’s twice as good.

i could be the qb this year and pats dont get 1st pick

Trevor is the real deal if you have that pick its no question the Pats pick him.

Losing that many games would require a deep analysis of exactly why the special teams units were so bad, and the drafting of the player who would best resolve that problem.

A couple things,

first, ray Lewis killed one maybe two guys in Atlanta.

second, no one knows what stidham is or is not, at this point. Bb has shown tremendous confidence in stidham by not signing or drafting a real qb. But that does not mean stidham is a real qb!

third, if we get the first pick in the draft, we might be the only team in the nfl to use it on someone other than Lawrence.

fourth, please not another worthless second round db next draft, that will be cut in two years. Bb the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Use the dart board and save us the trouble of having to continually say “I told you so!”

If we did get the number one pick, B.B. would get some guy from div 2. Probably a punter

Why is this Lawrance kid so much talked about?

Apparently he's supposed to be the next once in a generation QB (Andrew Luck, Joe Burrow, RG3 Etc..)

He didn't look that great last year. Very good but not once in a generation good.

He looked great last year. There's a boredom factor with Lawrence, you watch greatness so much and suddenly it looks ho-hum.

yes......2 more if you go back another 30 years......like I said, trade the pick

Namath 1 SB, Bradshaw 4 SB’s, Plunkett 2SB’s (not with the team who drafted him), Elway 2 SB’s, Aikman 3 SB’s, Peyton 2 (one with a different team), Eli 2.

That’s 16 Super Bowls won by the 1st overall pick. 29.6%. I don’t even think there’s another position in that draft (Aside from 5overall) that has more than 1 QB who yielded SB’s. Brady who has 6 is the only one in his round

Meanwhile....Dawson was drafted at 5 and he has a ring he just won it with a different team. Bob Griese was drafted 4 overall he has 2 SB’s. Young has 1 and was drafted 1 overall in the supplemental draft, win it with a different team. Jim McMahon was 5 overall with a ring.

That’s another 5 rings in the top 5 picks.

So just extended it from the 1 overall to the top 5 overall and including a supplemental draft takes it 38% well over a 1/3rd of all SB’s.

Yeah it’s easy to take something as difficult as win a SB and call it low percentage for even the safest bet. But that still doesn’t change the by far the safest bet is a 1 overall QB being on your team followed by a top 5 pick.

If you think Lawrence is your guy, you get Lawrence. It’s the most important position and the position in the draft that for QB is most likely to win SB’s.

I just think there will be a crazy bidding war for that top pick. If it’s a team that doesn’t need a QB then lucky them they don’t have a tough decision to make.

Why is this Lawrance kid so much talked about?
2018 nat champion 65 percent 36td 6 int 2019 p rate 175 30td 4int
All with just 1 really good wr Higgins r2 pick 2020.He is the real deal.Use all possible ammo to get him.JS could be good future #2 qb or traded if lawrence works out as we think.Forget TB ,he was terrible since Nov 2019 and went to TB as a last gasp w/better receivers

I'll play because there is nothing else to do. Tui was the favorite to be selected #1 until his injury and Joe Burrow had the greatest season of a QB in history. Thus, what happens if Lawrence gets injured or someone has a phenomenal year? It's all hypothetical, but so is the thread.

Happens almost every year. A QB is absolutely, positively CANNOT miss and will go #1 overall and we hear about some sweepstakes to get him. By the draft, there are lots of questions about who the top QB prospect even is.

Except Lawrence is the exception to the rule. Barring an injury or really unlikely scenario, he’s in Andrew Luck territory and it’s obvious why. It’s rare to see a guy who looks the part of a pro QB at age 19 like that. Height, strength, incredible arm talent and accuracy. Guy is on a higher shelf.

I’m no college QB expert but didn’t see anything spectacular about Tua, Darnold, and basically every other “sure-fire” once in a lifetime QB going into their final college season. So I would argue that typically it has more to with the “top guy” being overhyped foremost. But I don’t think Lawrence is overhyped and really is that once a decade prospect.

Another what if thread based on the remote possibility that BB will "tank" ( which I doubt) to get the #1 pick in next year's draft..

It is a very long offseason.. longer than usual.

I hope our kicker’s 3% tattoo doesn’t represent his kicking success rate.

Patriots have the #1 pick in the 2021 draft
...after winning the Super Bowl in Tampa?

First, they'd have to acquire somebody's #1 and that team would have to tank to the bottom.

Second, the league and the world will be more pissed than they were at the Celtics in '86 after they won the title and then drafted Len Bias.

Why is this Lawrance kid so much talked about?

He is the best qb I have seen since Peyton. Decision making, accuracy, touch, smarts and anticipation are off the charts. Natural born leader, commands the hustle and teammates love playing with him. He is all about whatever it takes to win! plus he has a little mobility.

if bb gets this kid, look out, because the dynasty continues!
