I disagree that we can conclusively weight the TFB-era Patriots to just TFB. Clearly, he is a huge part of it, but the wild card is what part of it Bill Belichick was. If you believe every pundit on that first SB run, Brady was "overrated." It was a combination of BB and luck. If you're the Raiders, "cheating" by being the beneficiary of the rules.

That whole 01-04 run it was all about how he needed help, was really a game manager with good accuracy, blah blah blah.

It's funny that the body of work of TFB has become utterly undeniable, but now the dominant narrative is that BB is nothing without Brady. Well, that ain't proven either.

I think we're heading for a big decline, sure. But I'll leave it in the "the future is unwritten" basket.

If we're not tanking, being power-ranked somewhere around 16th sounds like Belichick fuel.

Trademark? What? if it's not clear to people by now, Brady has had a team of lawyers and marketers doing the very things these people do for the very top pro athletes. You think Brady is drawing those cartons for Instagram every Monday morning?

If you become this disenchanted over Brady, who easily has the least character issues and is the most humble dude around, you're not going to like what's coming. This guy managed to be the most selfless QB I've ever seen--but he did it over 20 years.

I dunno... this stuff just irks me more now that he’s gone. Always found it strange why Brady is not a well liked QB by other teams fans for some reason. Maybe this was part of it.

Are you serious? It's hard to believe you're being serious. They hated everything to do with the Patriots. Especially Brady the guy who is married to a Supermodel and just likes to win (almost to a fault). If you like winning QBs, there is no one better than Brady. No one wanted to win more.

2019 Brady wasn't any different than the other Bradys.

As for Bill Parcells, you can't see the difference between how he and Brady left? Parcells went out of his way to destroy the franchise.

I was thinking that the opposite is more likely, considering their ages and that Gronk is coming off of a season of rest.
