Interesting comp for N'Keal Harry

When you point out the success of the NEP, there is silence or it is solely because of #12...

Never got the disdain for BB even though he brought this team to the SB 9 times in 20 years... that is unparalled.. then there are the 19 consecutive winning seasons in the post salary cap era.. someone is doing something right.

But there are those who choose to dwell on the mistakes that only BB makes in the NFL.
It's so freaking stupid. The draft haters are like kids on X-mas morning that get everything they want except one toy and spend the rest of the day asking mom and dad for the toy on their birthday.

If BB sucked at evaluating, drafting/signing and developing talent they would not have won 6 Super Bowls. That is an irrefutable fact.

Have they missed on picks and FAs? Of course but the body of work over 20 years tells is a ****load of great/good talent has come through this org.

Plus we are never picking at the top of drafts.

Trust me BB will have this team playing the disrespect we suck without Tom card all year long nobody is better at playing the nobody thinks your any good its us against the world mentality.
Now that I think about it he will have this team deep into the playoffs.
If they collectively buy in and run thru a wall for him.
Buff has been talking the most I can wait to see what we do to torment Allen.

Also does anyone think BB might have a little extra motivation to show the morons who think Brady made Belichick.
This is one the most exciting anticipating seasons as a Patriots fan im looking forward to.

Can you guess which numbers are Mike Evans' and which are Harry's?

Answer: It doesn't f*cking matter, because they are virtually the same. Tell me again why speed is the only determinant of success in the NFL?

SMFH at posters who are already giving up on Harry after a rookie year that was torpedoed by training camp injuries, as well as playing with a rookie-hating QB with waning accuracy and one foot mentally out the door. This kid has been treated like sh*t by too many supposed Pats fans, who should be rooting for him to bounce back and show what he can do after a disappointing (for him too) first year, instead of unfairly labeling him a bust after 7 late season games with limited snaps.

Weird how the tape is so different to the combine... Evans easily torches guys yet ran a 4.5
Btw Evans 35+ inch arms at 6'5 - YIKES! Damn freak

I don't think Tom moving on will put more pressure on BB to work harder but I do think Bill MIGHT have a bit more of a spring in his step working with a raw QB who he can teach, mentor, gameplan with as opposed to a 43 year old QB who has seen everything AND was a bit grouchy and sometimes sullen.

That’s because Belichick was a sub .500 coach with the Browns. 30 years ago. Or something. That’s why he had nothing to do with the Patriots success it was all Brady. Yup, The Cassel and Brady suspension seasons had nothing to do with Bill either. Right.

The pink hat delusion is amusing bordering on hilarious.

It's totally irrelevant. Speed/quickness is only one variable in an ability to create separation from a defender. It's not the only variable, but it is one nonetheless. Was he injured his final year in college? How about the year before that? He has never been able to create separation vs defenders. In college he got away with it due to his size and the competition he faced. There is no reason to expect him to be better at beating defenders when he is now facing bigger/stronger/better defensive backs, and he is not going to be able to simply outman them for jump balls like he did in college.

I don't care what his 40 time says...the guy plays slow...very slow. His time from the combine actually shocked a lot of people because he plays soooo much slower than that. He plays like a 4.8 guy.

It's not treating the guy like sh*t to say he is a bum as a NFL WR. It's simply stating the obvious. He seems like an overall really nice guy, and I think he'll have a nice career as an insurance salesman once this NFL WR thing doesn't pan out. Or, maybe he can put on some weight and become a pulling guard. I think he's got the perfect skill set in terms of speed and quickness for that.

It somehow only took Hoyer one series to get Harry involved. Trust your young WR to make a play and play to his strengths....what a concept.

(It is a shame in retrospect that he got up and tried to keep the play going on his second catch, because his he appeared to get injured/re-injured on that awkward tackle).

On #1 - No separation.

On #2 - No separation

Seems about right.

I especially like the first video where it looks like Harry is running with everything he has while the DB appears to be effortlessly jogging along side him. That's how every route with Harry looks. Why do you think they had to use gimmick plays to get him the ball?

Can you explain this ?

We are talking about 0.04 seconds here. How does this turn into a big difference especially because both are essentially the same size while Harry seems to be heavier according to the posted numbers.

The difference is close to a rounding error.

It's actually quite significant:

4.53s is 59th percentile for an NFL WR
4.49s is 72nd percentile for an NFL WR

It was hard to find a WR with a 4.49s to compare to N'Keals' 4.53, but I found a site that had both % for WR's:

N'Keal Harry | WR | Arizona State - NFL Combine Results
James Jett | WR | West Virginia - NFL Combine Results

BTW according to that site, for his size, N'Keal's 40 is 89th percentile

Winners root for other people to succeed . Losers want to see others fail like they did. It’s pretty obvious who the forum losers are. The fact that these losers won’t even defend themselves when called out about it shows that they are spineless cowards as well.

Are you a winner or loser? I am guessing you're an absolute, top of the mountain kind of winner. Seems like it anyway.

One disagreement however...I would say the definition of a "spineless coward" is one who asks for others to be banned...but you wouldn't do that, would you? You're too big of "winner" for that.

Lol and if Harry got good separation you'd knock him for catching easy, open passes. Who cares

Plus we are never picking at the top of drafts.

So is not making one quality WR draft pick (other than 1 QB convert) in nearly two decades good talent evaluation?

Thanks for the references.

I am sorry but I don't see how any of this has any relevance at all. Who cares what percentile he is in when we are still talking about an absurdly marginal absolute difference in times.

Again, please tell me in what real world game situation you'd actually see a difference of 0.04sec in the 40yd dash play out in any significant way ?

I'll be very happy if Harry starts catching wide open passes. However, with farms being forced to kill all of their pigs right now, I don't expect to see any pigs flying in the near future.

Yeah I’m going to check out the coaches film on him today, specifically from that game. As I didn’t get an answer, I’m assuming that he had some preconceived notion that was happening and, instead of searching out the truth, just stuck with it.

I still have a subscription but haven't used it in quite a while. Workload at the job has been tremendous over the last few months. But I'm pretty sure you'll like how they put it together. It's very easy to use and they give you plenty of search filters to allow you to focus on what you are looking for. Team, player, player + team, which year or years... Etc etc

If I get a few hours this weekend I'll put up a video of all his catches and targets. But that wouldn't really end the discussion of whether he was open or not on non targeted plays.

Should watch some Anquan Boldin. This is basically every catch the guy ever made.

1400 yards and 11 TDs for Harry with Stidham throwing to him

Aren’t you the guy who is telling us all how Harry is going to make some great insurance salesman when he fails at the NFL?

why not be a man and just come out and say you want him to fail? Why dance around it like a pu $$. You want him to fail like you have failed. Like your family has failed in a long list of failures of your gene pool

also this also shows how stupid you are since Harry has a 10 million dollar contract and already got a 5 million signing bonus . Why would Harry ever have to work again ?

how much did you make last year ?

I hope that it’s killing you that this wide receiver (that you hate) made 5x more in one year than you will make in your lifetime.

it hurts dosent it booboo.

By the way when is your next incels anonymous meeting ?

Who was dead last in separation per catch last year? This guy...

Who is also consistently down towards the bottom? Well, a guy to whom N'Keal Harry was heavily comped as a draftee...

Separation is certainly important but receivers can win without it. Whether Harry does is still up in the air but people banging the table about separation need to understand it's not the be-all, end-all of wide receivers. Mohamed Sanu was towards the top! Julio Jones was down at the bottom!
