Interesting comp for N'Keal Harry

The guy played a lot of snaps the second half of the year and was invisible. Show that you can get open. He has a problem getting separation. That was the major knock on him coming out the draft. His slow release off the line.
Watch his touches, he is fine. Brady shut him out on a lot of snaps.

Two seasons with similarly down stats for Brady?
That Brady threw to the open guy. This Brady forced throws to players in his circle of trust.

I think Harry's chances for success improve without Brady

Brady sucks..........BB is who made him
Harry is awesome........Brady tried to keep him down

in fact, I would give 12 to Lewerke

And the film does not lie. Brady would not throw to him when he was open far too often.
Can I see that film? I’m assuming you have it.

Edelman has 3 seasons with more than 150 targets. Those seasons are:

2013 - massive injury issues, particularly at the start of the season, double rookie lineup
2019 - AB gone/Sanu injured/Gordon gone/no Gronk, double rookie lineup in 2nd half
2016 - Floyd experiment, Gronk out for half the season, Amendola injured, Bennet & Hogan dinged up, rookie in lineup

So, no, it's not because Brady was doing some "circle of trust" thing. It's because those were years where the alternate targets sucked, got injured, or had to improve/adjust to the team and/or scheme.

Shockingly, quarterbacks in general don't like forcing the ball to scrubs just to be a nice guy.

NFL game pass is free right now. Sign up and check out his games.
Cool. I’ll check it out but I don’t have time to watch all of them again from scratch. So help me out. Point me to which game he looked at Harry, Harry was wide open, and Brady looked away to throw to someone else. I’d ask you to be specific at what the coverage was and who you think reads 1, 2, and 3 were, but I know you’re not capable. Or we can just wait until @Sliplady produces the film she says she has.

But the film supposedly shows that these wouldn’t have been forced balls. These guys, particularly Harry, were so wide open that it came across on the regular feed in real-time. Now we have film to prove it. I’m looking forward to seeing that film.

Watch the coaches films, you can quickly see which plays are pass plays and watch just those. I ain't taking notes for you, if you want to watch it watch it. Bengals game is pretty eye opening.

Ok. If it’s eye opening, give me quarter and time and I’ll look it up. I’m not the one saying the film don’t lie. I asked for evidence from another and you butted in and took her place. The onus is on you to provide me that evidence.

Yeah, Williams looked like a massive bust year 1.

They have a good search function. You can easily get all of his plays which will play one after the other. Check it out. I think you'll like it.

AHern comp is close to accept for an ability to:
Separate
Catch
Juke
Block
Serial kill

Player A:
6'4" 220lbs
40-time: 4.49s
Rec/Targets: 11/23
Yards/Rec: 8.6
(College: 21 TD/2727 Yds)

Player B:
6'4" 225lbs
40-time: 4.53s
Rec/Targets: 12/24
Yards/Rec: 8.8
(College: 22 TD/2889 Yds)

Player A is Mike Williams in 2017 (drafted #7 overall), Player B is Harry in 2019. Williams went on to be a mid-tier WR, catching 10 TDs in 2018 and going for over 1000 yards in 2019.

This is why comparing people just off body type is a completely futile exercise. How about we compare Brady with other total QB draft bust disasters who were also 6'4 215.

.

I'm fine with the aspirational comparison to Williams as a guy who was similarly considered a rookie disappointment due to missing most of camp and the first half of his rookie year because of injury, with the hope that Harry follows a similar (or, preferably, better) path. It's just proof of the idea that a WR can be disappointing as a rookie and emerge as a second-year player. DeVante Parker was also considered a disappointment, as was DJ Chark.

I find the comparison of the players themselves to be specious. Other than physically, they don't really have much in common. Williams is a vertical threat who plays like a faster Plaxico Burress (incidentally, another guy who was disappointing as a rookie) while Harry's a big strong YAC guy like an Anquan Boldin or Keyshawn Johnson. Of course, comparisons are aspirational for both players at the moment.

Somehow drafted this guy over far more collegiate productive WRs with higher ceilings (fast twich explosiveness/speed)

Here's to hoping a far better year 2. Hopefully he becomes strong and aggressive enough to pull down tightly contested balls, because he has zero chance at separating with his wheels.
